So, eh, who can do 'em?

I have come to live this far without ever owning one of those things. Probably touched them two to three times in my whole lifetime, none with any intent on solving them.

Heh, you should try one out. They're pretty fun, really. Omitting all that frustration from not being able to solve the cube, of course.

I have a friend who is absolutely crazy with the Rubix cube. He can make the craziest and coolest formations and designs with it, and he can solve it in just a matter of seconds. I suck with them XD.

Hah, I can solve the basic 3 by 3. I've always wanted a 4 by 4, but I haven't seen one in a while. :\ Though I actually find the 2 by 2 harder to do than the 3 by 3.

I solved a 4 by 4 once a while ago, which took me months, not seconds like some of the guys you see on Youtube.
Also, I find enjoyment in going to your friends with a newly bought Rubiks Cube and telling them you'd solved it.

I have one... I got it a few years ago and cannot solve it... No matter how hard I try, I always get stuck around 50%... Then my brother comes and thinks he can solve it and messes it up when I'm not there...

If I were me 2 years ago, I'd say the exact same thing. Half the time, I get this parity error on the 2x2 to which I don't have a solution. It's 'cuz I use a simplified 3x3 strategy on the 2x2, and it doesn't even work 100% of the time. I have a 4x4 and 5x5. I used to be able to solve the former, but now I can't do either. :/

I cannot solve a Rubik's Cube. Heck, I'm happy if I just get one side complete. >_>

One side isn't terribly hard, I don't think. I mean, I could do it before I learned how to really do the entire cube.
But not all strategies call for solving a side completely first. In the one I use, you solve the crosses (edges) first, then put the corners in the right positions, then rotate the corners until they all work.

Yeah, I have a friend that can do it. That's the way he solves it too, by doing the crosses first. Rubik's Cubes are beyond me though.

I really suck at them. But I know MANY people who can at least attempt at it.
I guess I don't got the patience.

Well, anyone can at least make an attempt at it. But I know what you mean. They can get frustrating sometimes, can't they?

Definitely. And what I mean by attempt is that they can get at least one side done. When I see a Rubix cube, this is what I do -> <- 10 seconds later, I might as well ditch the cube. I 'm just not patient enough.

I don't see why they're so hard, I mean it's not like those stickers are particularly hard to remove or anything

I enjoy popping out each block, and then reconstructing. It's the only way I've ever known to work for me.
But like anyone, I'm impressed by those freakishly fast people who complete them in under a minute, blindfolded, using their non-dominant hand.

I don't see why they're so hard, I mean it's not like those stickers are particularly hard to remove or anything You'd be surprised. Removing those stickers is actually incredibly difficult (even with long nails), leaves behind sticky residue when you take 'em off, and it's not like you can just put 'em back on. I enjoy popping out each block, and then reconstructing. It's the only way I've ever known to work for me. This, on the other hand, is a much easier way to solve the cube. Probably the easiest, but you run the risk of breaking one of yer pieces. In my opinion, actually learning to solve the cube is much more worth it.

I'm going to anchor myself in the fourth dimension and not even download that thing, cuz if I do, I'm going to spend hours upon hours trying to figure it out.
Still, I'll favorite that, just in case I ever find a huge opening in my schedule. It looks like fun.
