Does anyone here have a thing about themselves that they cannot exactly explain, such as an interest or a preference about something?
For me, for some odd reason or another, if there's a big pile of dishes waiting to be cleaned, I don't know why, but I'd rather wash the dishes than to put them away. I am very aware of the fact that dishes don't wash themselves, but I sure wish they'd put themselves away! When a friend was living with me, I'd volunteer to wash all the dishes while he just waits until they're dry to put them away, barely doing much of the work.
I don't know, I just don't like putting away dishes for some reason. Anyway, discuss!

I know I have a few (at least), but this is the only one to come to mind right now: everytime I vacuum the house, I put my shoes on. I always just get this odd feeling before I turn the vacuum on that says, "wait, you need shoes for this!" If anything, my tennis shoes are only counter-productive since I just end up stepping where I've just cleaned.

I hate when things are just... odd looking. For example, if there is a toy with it's arm up, I can NOT stop thinking about it until it is down.
Also, my cousin was sleeping in a weird way, I can't really explain how it looked, but it was odd... to me. It ticked me off.

I always have to have my bed made before I sleep in it. Even if I am about to go to sleep, and the bed is a mess and has been a mess for the whole day, then I have to make it before I sleep in it and mess it up again a minute later. Even if there is just a small fold in the sheets, it has to be repaired before I sleep in the bed.
Also, when I get dressed, I always usually put my socks on first. Even before I put on my shirt, pants, or whatever, my socks have to usually get on first.

I have an obsession with scrubbing tile floors. I'm becoming a neat freak!

My toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, contact solution, etc. must all be put away and not left out on the bathroom counter. A few nights ago I was really tired, so I left them out and went to bed. After a few minutes I had to get up and put them away because I couldn't stop thinking about it. That's very odd, because my computer desk and my room are a total mess but it doesn't bother me at all.

No package of gum will last a day in my grasp.
Not even the like feet-long bubble tape ones.
I just can't leave it, I need to eat it all.

Also, if there's an RPG where you can grind yourself to awesome before leaving the first town, I'll probably end up doing that. I don't even know why, but for some reason I do it. Fire III before Dorter Trade City, Mastered White Mage before leaving Tule, several learned Mantras just after leaving the Karma Temple...

I fully agree with the dishes things. I can wash them, but putting them away just... I usually wait for one of my roommates to do their dishes and mass put them all away :'D

You mean like, mini OCDs?
Well, I used to have this thing where I had to keep one of each color in a package of Skittles or M&Ms. I couldn't eat the last red, orange, yellow, green, or purple. I just couldn't.

Uh, well I'd keep em in the bag for a little bit. Sometimes my mother would end up throwing them away for me, when I wasn't watching. The Skittles always lasted a really long time. Not so sure about the M&Ms. They both kinda melted in the summer.
I found one old bag of M&Ms two months ago. Don't know how old this one was, at least four years. I opened it, and there they were, the six colors. Bugs had eaten all the chocolate, and left the shells. It was kinda gross and cool.

I turn the sink on whenever I enter a bathroom. No matter what I go in for, if I have to be in for longer than like 10 seconds, I always turn it on.
My friends dorm has a bathroom with no sinks, so I avoid using it. Thats the only thing I can think of, but its pretty weird. I only started doing it about two years ago, no idea what started it.

I always wonder why I have to keep the fact I still play pokemon a secret from people in real life. My friends who play pokemon do the same thing. Although I openly say that Yoshi is my favorite video game character and I find his egg laying ability funny, I wonder why people my age hide the fact they play pokemon? Here's another one, why does everyone keep telling me I'm going to die every time I fly a plane? People die more often in car crashes than plane crashes...

Pokemon seems to be coming back in my school. I've seen a few people playing it recently.
I found out yesterday that it drives me crazy if I don't wear my watch. I didn't put it on yesterday since I had surgery, and for the rest of the day I would constantly check my wrist for the time.

For some reason anywhere I walk, I always have to knock on something. Be it a wall, chair, counter, guard rail, whatever it is. It's always been a tick of mine all my life.

When I'm standing around, I have to be doing something with my arms, be it putting my right hand in my pocket or crossing them or putting my hands behind my head. I can't just leave them at my sides.
Though as a result of having my right hand in my pocket, my right arm doesn't swing naturally anymore when I walk. I have to put effort into it to get it to swing.
