"... it's like somethin' out of a comic book or somethin' like that." Karth said. "Hopefully the rest of the place nay be as corny as one, too..."

Very early in the morning when everyone else was still asleep Teal woke up. He grabbed a small piece of paper and a pen and wrote a note in cursive that said: "I have some errands to run...Don't worry about me I'll be back very soon. -Teal" Being as quiet as he can he placed the note near Syleena and headed out the door believing he successfully made it out without anyone’s knowledge.
His first destination would be an armory. The book he had fortunately had a map of the area and some of the businesses and he followed a route that went down a few alleys. In one of the alleys there were two thugs hanging out, a goomba and a koopa. “Hey foreigner! We dun like yer type round ‘ere! Git back to where you came from.” The koopa said grumpily. Teal ignored him not saying a word and tried to pass them. The koopa saw his golden spear and ran after him then popped into his shell sliding quickly in front of Teal. “In fact where do you think yer goin with that spear?” The koopa said showing off a knife. Teal didn’t say a word, “…” he brought out the spear getting into a battle ready stance. Teal heard the goomba sneak up behind him and struck him right in the eye with the blunt end of the spear. Then the koopa threw the knife at Teal which he barely dodged and the knife managed to scratch Teal on the side on his face. The goomba banged his head against Teal’s side and Teal retaliated with some fierce blows. The koopa suddenly ran up and struck Teal with an electric stun club. “Argh!” Teal’s figure ‘pixel faded’ out for a second and went back to normal (like the screen in Zelda: ALTTP when you get electrocuted or in SMW). This startled the koopa seeing the bizarre reaction and the intended effect didn’t take place. Teal felt a quick surge of pain but stabbed the spear in the koopa’s arm. The thugs ran off but a little goomba showed up and yelled at Teal, “You hurt my big brother you jerk!” Teal calmly put the spear away. “They fought worse than those forest bandits…” He thought. The little goomba went on to kick Teal in the shin, “Yeah you better walk away you big nosed freak! Go give someone a piggy back ride with that saddle.” Teal didn’t take this lightly, he grabbed the goomba with his tongue. He meant to scare the little guy a bit and spit him back out but he accidently swallowed him. “Ack!” He ended up laying a yoshi egg, the spots were the same teal color as himself. Teal saw the goomba struggle to break out. He nervously laughed and ran away embarrassed and hoping no one saw that.
Upon reaching the armory he started to look around at the variety of weapons. A wealthy looking Rex wearing a monocle was inside talking to himself, “They all look the same…” Then he saw Teal’s golden spear. “You there! That spear you have…come outside for a moment.” Teal stepped outside. The Rex whispered to him, “You interested in selling that spear by any chance?” Teal smiled and said, “That’s half the reason I came here for.” Teal let the Rex examine the spear. The Rex chuckled and said, “Well then…I’d like to offer 100 coins for that spear as it is.” Teal felt that it should be sold for more and said, “Well it wasn’t easy getting this spear. I almost got myself killed.” Teal haggled with the Rex and ended up selling it for 300 coins. Teal reentered the armory and picked a spear out “Sir how much for this one?” Teal asked the shopkeeper. “That spear? Well for you 40 coins. It’s boring being a castle guard ain’t it?” Teal was a bit confused but said, “Yeah…” Teal bought himself a heavy slice/stab spear and a medium sized knife for a total of 50 coins.
Teal went about the rest of his plans. He visited a doctor and found out that he was a different creature that was turned into a yoshi. His body is covered by a stable layer of magic that keeps him in this state and magic seems to interfere with it. This seems to heal his injuries quickly seeing how the cut on his face was already almost gone. The memory loss was caused by a recent head trauma. The doctor told him that his memory loss will recover in time but the transformation seems to be nearly impossible to dispel. The doctor’s visit cost 80 coins. When Teal was walking back to his group a jacket caught his eye. He did some shopping and got himself a leather pilot jacket, a white scarf, and a satchel with traveling supplies. He wore the satchel over his saddle. Teal still has some money left over. Eventually he ran into the group. “Hey! Good morning!” Teal was barely recognizable. He was feeling a little tired and beat up but he entered the building along with the group.
(Heh, I kind of broke my promise from earlier but this is the only way to do this without messing up the plot. Sorry)

((you know what's great? not getting a post in for like four pages!))
Moot had kept his thoughts to himself since his outburst back in the woods, which seemed like a good idea since flying off the handle wasn't usually how he operated. Maybe it was the stress of getting set upon by thugs in the woods, or travelling around with people who seemed to get a little too excited in regards to fighting, but any of those would have been a good reason for his anti-social behaviour for the past few hours. Still, he went ahead with the group, mostly out of curiosity for whatever else the trip would throw at them.
Upon reaching their destination, Moot broke his self imposed silence: "Is this the place? I don't think their sign is quite ostentatious enough."

(Sorry, I've been lagging behind)
Greg followed the rest of the group, looking at the large letters on the front of the building as they got closer to the entrance. Heroes, that's a bold thing to call oneself, thought Greg.

Yoshiken followed as they approached the large building. He would have added his own sarcastic comment, but he felt that Karth and Moot had said enough. Yoshiken, before this, had assumed that this "League" that he heard about previously was something small, perhaps even under-the-table, but at the sight of the structure in front of him, his view immediately changed. His suspicions remained the same though.
He didn't notice Teal at first when he had greeted the group. when he did finally figure it out, Yoshiken responded back. "Nice to see ya again."
(I am leaving for the weekend, until Monday or Tuesday, and will not be able to post until then. Sorry.)

"What's with the leather jacket?" Syleena said, eyeing it.

Teal happily nodded to Yoshiken. Then he looked at the new jacket he was wearing. "I'm not sure why but I feel like I wore these all the time. How do I look?" The jacket was a dark brown color.
"Now about this Magikoopa guy...Was he near where you guys found me? He uses magic and seems like a really dangerous guy. I think there's a chance he had something to do with my...amnesia problem." He almost said his 'transformation problem' but held back talking about that for now. "I really need to find out what the hell happened..."
Teal looked up at the sign. "League of Heroes? I wonder what kind of place this is?" he asked.

Champ's face twitched into a frown before going back to its regular grin. "... Take them seriously. They've been running the show for the past six years. I don't know about the Koopa. That's what we're here to find out." He pushed open the glass doors and headed on in.
The circular lobby was well-lit with white tiling and white pillars supporting the ceiling of the first floor (of which there were four- three above ground and one below). An elfish receptionist sat off to the left. Champ went over to her and tapped on the counter. They muttered to each other in hushed voices, the receptionist straightening up to stare at the group curiously before hitting a button that opened a hidden door off to the right of the room. Champ took a deep breath and led the group through this door. A panel of thirteen people sitting in a semicircle at a huge blue table with a back window letting in sunlight was there to greet them- everything from Yoshis to humans to Bumpties to Snifits. Many of them had adorned themselves- an eyepatch-wearing Bumpty eyed them from the left end of the table, and a Yoshi with a vest on the right and a Koopa with way too much jewelry near the middle. Champ glanced back at the group and held up his claw as a signal for them to hang back, glared at them as if daring anyone to say anything, and headed toward the middle of the semicircle. "... Hey, gang," He began, holding out his paws. "You didn't bring the Koopa," A bespectacled Goomba stated flatly. "We're workin' on it. There were some technical difficulties," Champ smiled, showing all his teeth. "We just need to hone in on 'im again, that's all." The eye-patched Bumpty frowned and hopped down from the table to cast a spell. "Ten minutes." Champ began clicking his claws together awkwardly. "Well... I'd like to know what exactly happened here." "That's classified," The Goomba frowned. "I've got permission! Gimme the skinny." "... There was a dispute." "A dispute." "Yes." "... And you're going to all this trouble?" "He stole some information regarding... Well, we'd like it back." Champ's grin grew wider. "The plot thickens!" The Goomba scowled. "Look, just track the guy down and bring him and whatever he has on him back. He is potentially dangerous!" "Potentially!" "Look, do you want to be paid or not?" Champ shrugged. "Well, I don't really care, but... they do." The Goomba raised his eyebrows slowly as he eyed Teal, Syleena, Yoshiken, Moot, Karth, and Greg. "Wait... why did you bring all of them? We told you to pick from the list!" "What... no you didn't!" "It was clearly written in the directions. Two on the list, you idiot!" "Well they're all here now," Champ hissed, flattening his ears, "And we're all going after him. So tell me where he is so I can do my job." The Bumpty hopped back up on the table and grumbled something, writing coordinates on a sheet of paper and shoving them across the table. Champ drifted forward and snatched it up, reading it over. "... Wait... That's..." "It's where he is." "Crap. That'll be a bloodbath." "That's why we told you to only pick two on the list. Mob mentality, Chammice." "I think it's more..." He glanced back at the group. "... Whatever. Fine. We'll have him in another... week. They'd better get extra for this." "You get paid for doing your job." Champ groaned. "They won't do this for that much! These guys think they're mercenaries all over again!" "Go. Or you'll pay them either out of your own pocket, or in black eyes." Champ snarled and turned away, heading back towards the group. His eyes darted around the room, checking for each of the three doorways to the sides of the table. He was obviously plotting something.

Karth noticed the eyepatch Bumpty. Another Bumpty, this far south? Especially in a place like this... he certainly seemed familiar, anyway... he decided to listen to Champ though and hang back for now.
"... huh..." He frowned a little as he listened to the conversation. He looked back at Champ as he walked over. "... what was that all about? Where we have to go next, laddie?"

Syleena just looked at all of the heroes down the line on the circular table. Taking special consideration at looking at the Yoshi's.

For the first time since joining the group, Greg made a facial expression. He frowned, for he had thought that a generous payment awaited him at the end of this assignment. Now he wasn't so sure. Champ's superiors didn't seem to be willing to dish out too much cash. He wasn't sure if he'd even finish this mission now, as Champ didn't seem pleased with how things were turning out in the League and looked ready to leave. Greg considered what he could get in this situation. He could finish this mission, and get a small reward of money, or... Greg took out his notepad and began scribbling away.

Teal was just reading from his book. By now it would seem that he really likes reading it since he doesn't seem bored with it at all and it's an encyclopedia. He looked up from the book to see Champ walking back towards them. He was simply waiting to see what would unfold at this time.

Syleena then glanced at Teal and his leather jacket. "You know, if you end up getting dirty like falling into the mud or fall in something smelly, that jacket will carry the stink with you."

Moot rolled his eyes, but likely nobody in the group noticed as he was facing away from them taking in the décor of the place. Apparently the Hero business was a good little earner. "With how things have been going lately, I'd say mud would be the least of your worries... Besides, clothes are overrated anyway." He turned around to face the group, idly fidgeting with the collar he had on - which in fact, was all he had on. "...Not that I'd pass up on a shirt or anything if I ever went to Shiver City, or someplace though."

Teal started reading about blimps, planes, and other flying vehicles. He had a short vision that made him remember that he can pilot any of those and many other vehicles. To the others it just looked like he was zoning out for a while. Then he said to himself, "Hmm...I can fly those...I think."
