Syleena also stepped back and held out a hand to help Karth out, looking around to see if anything else would be triggered.

[Yoshiken]

Yoshiken was prepared to fly up and cut the rope that held the net which had entrapped Karth. However, he wasn't fast enough, as Karth had already gone through with the task with his own dagger.

His focus quickly turned from Karth to a very faint sound coming from the forest. As he had done previously, Yoshiken grabbed the hilt of his katana. The sound continued to grow. Yoshiken glanced at the few who had heard something as well, especially Moot, hoping that they would be able to pin-point where it was coming from as soon as possible.

He then switched his attention to those who were too distracted with their own conversations. "Shut-up and listen! Were you not listening just now to Moot? Something is heading our way..."

Syleena quickly looked around, hoping that nothing would catch them off-guard.

[Lord of the Dance]

The sounds immediately stopped. Champ frowned at Karth. "Stop goofing off, come on." He scurried ahead into the trees.

[Strangie]

Karth frowned back. "Does this LOOK like it's fun for me?" He stands up straight, with Greg's help, muttering a "thanks, laddie" to him, and runs off after Champ, though he tries to be careful to avoid springing any more similar traps. "Gotta be careful..."

[Teal]

Teal hurried off after them having no idea what they're up against. He hoped he would remember something about combat soon.

Syleena whispers to Karth as they head away. "If this guy doesn't shut up, maybe we should clobber him instead." she said looking nastily at Champ.

[Lord of the Dance]

Champ flattened his ears back in irritation, but didn't say anything. He was swerving around trees and ducking between shrubs, as if to lose the group.

Too bad for him that Syleena was good at following.

[Teal]

Mister speedy is in a rush, thats for sure. He tripped and fell since he is still not quite used to being a Yoshi yet. "Ack!" No! I cannot lose them! He quickly got up and continued on but unfortunately for him he lost sight of Champ and Syleena. He wandered aimlessly in the woods hoping he would find someone soon. "I hope luck is on my side at this moment..."

"Would you like to tell me why we even bothered to come if you are gonna lose us in the forest?" Syleena asked Champ.

[Strangie]

If Champ was trying to lose the group, unfortunately he would not lose Karth, who was still quick for having short legs and had good senses, though perhaps not as fine tuned hearing as Moot might have. He bobbed and weaved through the trees, making quick hops and sidesteps around whatever obstacle got in his way to keep up.

He frowned at Syleena's statement. "Yeah, ye do that, ye find yer own way out of this stupid forest. All I know I have to do is walk north until I find snow. Have fun with that plan."

Syleena rolled her eyes at his statement. "He's trying to lose us."

[Strangie]

"Tryin' is different from doin', lass! And I ain't findin' my own way outta this damn forest so ye best hop to it!" Karth said as he quickly scurried about after Champ.

[Moot]

"Oh, what now? As if being surrounded by somethings wasn't enough trouble!" Moot darted off after Karth who he assumed was still following after Champ, swatting branches out of his face as he made his way after him. Moot hoped his extended ground clearance would be enough to not set off any more traps that might be lurking in the woods, as barrelling through the woods at high speed wasn't conducive to noticing little things like triggers and tripwires.

With any luck the others in the group would notice what was going on before potentially getting stranded in the forest with no guide.

Syleena just followed Karth and Champ without another word.

[Lord of the Dance]

While the group was following Champ, members of various species wearing practically rags for clothing, if any, swung in on them from the trees and burst forth from the bushes. Champ whipped around and tackled Teal to the ground, leaving the rest of the group to deal with the twenty-odd bandits bearing down on them.
Only one of these bandits, a Rex with boots and a rope necklace, had drawn his weapon, an old rusty knife. "Lay down yer valuables," He demanded. "Ya trespass on our territory, ya pay the toll!"

[Teal]

Teal saw Champ speeding towards him appearing as if from nowhere. "Hey, Mister spee-OOF!" He was tackled to the ground before he could finish that sentence.

[Yoshiken]

Yoshiken had kept up the pace when the group rushed through the forest. Though he had kept his guard up, the shock of the ambush still penetrated his senses. He observed Champ turning back around and tackling Teal, but his focus was quickly broken. As the Rex pulled out his dagger, Yoshiken reacted by unsheathing his own sword. "We had no intention of offending you in any way," he quickly said, "We were simply trying to find our way out of here. I am not here to spill blood, but do not think that I will refrain if I need to. Just let us through in peace, and we will return the same."

Yoshiken looked around him at the numerous amount of bandits. "we are horribly outnumbered," he thought to himself. They didn't seem like the diplomatic type either.

[RaYoshi]

Ra smiled as he saw what was ahead of him, catching up to the party up front. He chuckled somewhat and gave a quick lick to his lips, eying the bandits that he saw. He crossed his arms once more as he halted behind the group of "allies" in front of him, waiting to see the bandit's next moves and already chanting to himself with a grin.
