The most dangerous and bizarre criminal who calls himself Rukiferuso has finally been captured. On the day of Rukiferuso’s execution the sky became dark and black snow blanketed the territories. When he was executed the world shook and a large fissure swallowed a majority of the ones who were there to watch his death. His last words were: "This world and all those who inhabit it...will perish shortly." Many believed that he was some kind of oracle who had condemned the world because since that day many freak events began to occur. Dams had broken and flooded lower territories, several volcanoes erupted at the same time leaving the sky a bright red and grey hue, and many machinations went out of control causing dire results.

The most recent event involved a virus that petrifies its victim in minutes. It has spread to pandemic proportions and investigators are working harder to find the true origins behind these events. A handful of elite adventurers are called up to investigate claims that a suspicious group caused the volcanoes to erupt and are responsible for creating the petrifying virus…

Some Guidelines
Please make sure your character is balanced out in some way. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses and we don't like it when someone hogs up the action. You can't be a pro at everything. For example when your character is a melee powerhouse your magic abilities shouldn't be so strong as someone who specializes in it.

You cannot have godly abilities or anything that alters time. You can have dimensional abilities to a certain extent. You also cannot always make miracles happen either. Characters will be temporarily knocked out and crippled at times; you cannot be invulnerable. If you want to have hidden abilities please PM me.

These guidelines might be adjusted.

Appearance: Dark red, wears a black robe, and he's also a few years past his prime.
Background: He's long been a studier of magic, and has acquired plenty of wisdom over the years.
Abilities: Um... generic yoshi abilities, as well as magic (see below)
Weapon(s):carries a long, crimson staff that curls up at the top with a lapis lazuli embedded in it.
Magic: A master in the art of fire magic, and possesses moderate skills in both wind and water magic.

Race: Yoshi
Appearance: A 5'7" dark blue yoshi of strong build he wears a sky blue cloak
Background: Being only 13 there's not much about him. He's trained in a few different martial arts all with black belts. When people need him he's there to help
Abilities: basic Yoshi skills, an awesome hand &foot brawler
Weapons: usually just his fists unless he finds something
Magic: A fairly small amount of elemental magic as was for his training

I will definitely join, but I want to reiterate what Teal said. Do not make your character invincible! Make sure that there are times when he "loses" at a task he is doing, whether it be fighting, persuading, operating something, spying, etc. Whatever it is, make sure you character doesn't always "win"!

That is the main reason why I quit the Humans and Yoshis RP is because there was too much godmodding and an imbalance of power between some of the RPers. Please make sure that this doesn't have the same result.

Thank you for setting up detailed ground rules on that subject Teal. Do I have permission to help enforce such rules if it gets out of hand in the RP? I hope I am not interfering too much in your leadership of this RP.

Name: Hansen Beydock

Race: Toad

Appearance: 3'6" toad with a plain white button-up shirt, and a plaid v-neck sweater over it

Background: Hansen is a 33 year old private detective. He has mostly worked at crime scenes, but has been known to take any job as long as the price is right. He constantly relies on sarcastic humor in his conversations, and is always hitting on the ladies, though he hasn't been successful at all in finding a girl that will respond back in a positive way. He is still a very positive guy though, and brings that humorous relief to those around him. Despite his stumbling buffoonery, he is very skilled in his work field. When he investigates a scene, he has little trouble finding even the faintest of clues.

Abilities: Being a professional private detective, his skills in detection are high of course. He knows the tricks of the trade, and will look high and low for any clues that will lead him closer to whatever it is he is trying to get to, whether that be a criminal, an event, the truth, etc. He is also very analytical, and can figure out motives and conclusions accurately, even if they happen to be complex. Also, he loves to write Murder Mystery books, based off exaggerated stories from his own cases as a detective.

Weapons: He has a very interesting weapon. It is a gun that shoots off elemental energy. Though, it uses "ammo" in the form of liquid solutions. These are carried in vials that are held very tightly in a medium-sized shoulder bag that Hansen always has on him. Each vial has a different elemental solution that you fill the gun with, and it shoots out the elemental energy. For example, if you filled the gun chamber with the vial marked "fire" then you will release blasts of fire from the gun. However, each vial of solution is only good for about six shots, and then the chamber must be refilled again. The gun doesn't shoot very quick as well. You can also mix solutions to create various effects, but it is risky, and can backfire and malfunction if mixed incorrectly.

Also in the shoulder bag are his other tools of the trade. This includes a magnifying glass, which is an essential part of being a detective, as well as something similar to luminol, a brush, and other miscellaneous detective gear.

Name: Erlosung Kante

Race: Unknown, but is humanoid

Background: Even before the events of Rukifersuro and the peculiar happenings with it, Erlosung has dealt with harsh environments, and due to such, he is what he is. He is rather cautious and isn't really sociable. He will however work cooperatively with others as necessary, but won't trust others much initially. In his lifetime, he has become adeptly skilled in a wide variety of defenses, from physical to magical, and is rather fast due to what he has lived through to survive. He has made it his hobby to study defensive arts. Aside from that, his current profession is a bio scientist researcher and engineer, and he is very skilled with his profession. He is known to be quite resourceful and high endurance.

Appearance: A heavily clothed being where no skin is exposed. Wears peculiar equipment, special goggles, face mask, and others. Clothing is generally dark themed, has reinforcements/guard and is physically strong. Is between 4' to 4'6''.

Abilities: Strong defensive arts both physical and magical. Abilities that regard with his profession(s).

Pales heavily in offensive arts, having no amazing offensive style whatsoever beyond a normal punch and kick and other very, very normal forms of physical attacks.

Weapons/Tools:
A specialized hi-tech stun handgun that shoots lightning/elemental bullets. Its main source of "ammo" is of energy, generated from the self generator embedded in the gun. The gun is generally not lethal and only stuns (normally) the target a few seconds, it not being very damaging. It has some addons, which include making the bullet be dispersed like a shotgun, or making the bullet have a piercing property, the addons requiring more energy from the gun. The gun can have additional external "ammo" to reduce loading/recharging time from its self generator. Range of fire is far (but not far like a sniper rifle) and it's rate of fire (at no addons) fast.

Stun gloves. Using some energy generated from his body, he can manipulate it into his specially made gloves to stun an attacker with the gloves for a few seconds in defense (isn't fatal normally [perhaps fatal if on a very very weakened target])

Other tools include his basic equipment of his profession, like measuring meters and various chemicals, as well as special equipment like his eyewear lenses, from microscopic to telescopic to magical.

Magic:
Lightning/Electrical, range mainly limited to self.
Telekinesis, range mainly limited to self.
Magic barrier only to self (uses a lot of energy).
Antimagic/dispelling arts.

I guess I need to be more specific with the races...Needs to have a head, arms, and legs. Needs to be sentient, capable of traveling, able to defend themselves, needs to be visible to the naked eye.

Name: Nalduruk

Race: Protoss

Background: A High Templar of the Protoss army. That is, until an accidental mis-warp sent him teleporting millions of light years away from his original destination. now, Nalduruk is stranded on this planet that is completely alien to him, though people usually refer to him as there alien here.

Abilities: Telepathy. Nalduruk can only communicate using his mind, as he does not have the vocal organs to speak like the natives of the planet he is stranded on.
Basically, he doesn't have a mouth. Look at the picture.
Weapon(s): none

Magic: Nalduruk is a psionic warrior. At his disposal are a number of psionic powers:
Shield Matrix: An energy shield that completely surrounds Nalduruk. Can be destroyed after a number of hits.
Psionic Lash: A moderately slow telekinetic attack on his enemy's mind. It's range of use goes from stunning to tearing apart the soul of his enemies. During it's usage, Psionic Lash prevents Nalduruk from moving.
Psionic Bastion: Prevents other telepathic beings from reading Nalduruk's mind.
Psionic Storm: After a hundred years of training, Nalduruk mastered the High Templar's proudest ability, the Psionic Storm. Psionic energy is stored within Nalduruk, and on occasion, he can rapidly release the energy to send devastating psionic ripples toward foes. Psionic Storm covers a large area, does massive damage to biological creatures (viruses included,) and is visible to the naked eye.

Background: A Yoshi who has been through a rather hard life. His family was killed when he was still a child, and he spent many years after that fending for himself. Erill found him one day, and has raised him since.
Abilities: can think up a way out of even the most desperate of situations. Can take advantage of anything in any situation. Also a talented marksmen
Weapons: Carries a large bow, and a dagger.
Magic: none.
