Oh don't worry it will. I thought up a great beginning with an excellent scene with Yoshi in front of a sun set.
* And I need some true actual help now. Yoshi found this underwater cave just off the coast of Yoshi's Island. I need a good reason for how it was discovered. And I need it to be something better than him just swimming there.

For how it was discovered...he was walking along and noticed some odd prints int he ground and follows it, then where they stop is a clearing in the middle of the jungle. He looks around and finds a shrine and notices it needs an odd rock in it. The Dino-Stone, he goes and gets this rare stone from the Yoshi elder who has kept it around his neck for centuries. Yoshi places the rock in and the ground shakes, a whole opens with steps leading down. There is a passage to this cave from the steps...

Hmm, I could use that but the cave is a small opening in a cliff wall a few yards underwater.
And this is inconspicuous, seeing as how it was only recently discovered. Nothing to sugest it's special.

This has a bit of physical humor in it.
Yoshi faces off Hookbill Koopa in the jungle, and after a bunch of fighting, Hookbill throws Yoshi in a random direction...REALLY hard!! Yoshi flies and flies through the air until he crashes onto a tiny ancient island. Yoshi recovers from the impact and sees that it's an entrance to an underwater cave...

Alright, Hookbill beats up Yoshi and hurls him into the water really hard. Yoshi sees the cave.

Well Why dont you take the ideas that Amazy and I have and combine them!

There is a passage underground from the steps...when Yoshi is at the end of the pasage he finds more steps, up onto a different Island! It is Turtle Island, a small island filled with Koopas etc. Yoshi walks a little ways to find Hookbill.Yoshi faces off Hookbill Koopa, because he woke Hookbill up and made him cranky, and after a bunch of fighting, Hookbill throws Yoshi in a random direction...REALLY hard!! Yoshi flies and flies through the air until he crashes onto another tiny ancient island. Yoshi recovers from the impact and begins walking...right off a cliff...and it can be comical like Wiley Coyote when he walks off cliffs, he stands there, looks frightened, waves goodbye and falls. Yoshi falls down into the water. Yoshi sees the cave and enters...

Well, for one thing Hookbill was destroyed a long time ago. And I'm trying to keep it so all the islands and places are from the games.

Ohhh kay, it could be Hookbill's son, who looks the same!
And it could be on Islands From the Game!
The Shrine and first steps are on "Yoshi's Island," and then where he comes up, although there are a lot of turtles and koopas is "Eggling Island" (From Yoshi: Topsy-Turvy) and where he is thrown to is "Kido Airakku" Island (From Super Princess Peach, it LOOKS like Yoshi's Island totally!)
So The Same story as above, except with Hookbill's son "Crookbill" who has a black shell. And those three Islands "Yoshi, Eggling, Kido Airakku"! Then it would have things that are from the game and make sense!

And besides, Hookbill was in Tetris Attack, right?
And if that won't work, then Naval Piranha. It was in Mario Party Advance, and it went to the desert.

Yeah, after you beat Bowser's final mini-game, it tells how everyone's doing. For Naval Piranha, it says "It grows quite well in the desert!"
