Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. Dr. Seuss
That is probably one of the best quotes I've ever heard. Yes, I miss those times, too... when me and teh would dominate conversations as the raging spanish queens, when group conversations happened at all, when I was still a noob... ...when F-15 Yoshi was still around...

Such input by me here on this thread, is totally unable to be accomplished. My arrival unto the YC community did not occur until early this year. Yet, though late, the stories I had always heard about this place were always special in their own way. They were diffrent, bigger, stranger, and highly constructed. I never knew a place with Yoshi fans ever existed, in fact I didn't know to much about Yoshi to begin with. Nothing more was I but a mere child roaming through boards of sorts and joining many diffrent fandoms that stole my heart away.
Twas about that time, that I heard this name spoken, by a fellow member. I remember seeing this members character, their RP Yoshi version. I kept asking myself... "that character looks familiar... but why?" And it wasn't to long until I really found out the truth about this place. Yoshi's Corner: constructed before my time, and raised over a period of months with members and more galore. I heard valiant stories of the place, from not just one but many minds. Each of them all worshiped it in some way. Always said I should go, but I was never a high Yoshi fan. Yet, the qualities of such a creature are something we should all have.
It wasn't long, until I did join and met many of the members that I had heard stories about.... starting with: Graedius, Teh, Tim, Anjil, Yoshiken, Mailtroid, Dragon, PFY, Blood, Aniki, Koshi, YW, Joshi All of these members had with them in my mind some stapeled kind of story. Each of them had that "special" thing about them that had been echoed into my eyes and placed in my mind. None were negative, all gave off an aura of positive remarks. Of course at first, it seemed always hard to believe that so many great people could contain themselves in one place. But, oh, how wrong that belief was because here it has always seemed to be true.
And since the beginning, of where we all start. We always grow to change, to mature, to belong to what we've wanted to. Humanity is to fall upon its own shoulders and always gaze with a utter ignorance onto what is reality and what is illusion. Yet, then these people here can't just be human. For, all of them bring a smile to everyone; regardless of circumstances. Within each and every member here, has always seemed to lie the will to continue, bravery, justice, the call for calvary. Willing to stand for what is right, and here does stand one of the most highly constructed communities that I do so happily watch.
I may be no veteran, I may be no senior. But these eyes have read and seen what once was here, and what is now here. How much those wish change, may not shift times hands, shall see that nothing has. You are all the same, a mere reconstruction of a layout cannot change lifes. So, they may grow older. So they may grow to like diffrent things. So they may become artist, poets, authors. What they do become, is all because they accepted themselves. Here, at the noble YC.

Beautfifully written Contention, couldn't take my eyes off of it. And I finally saw them, jeez they bring back memories, I forgot about that breast cancer post, I don't even remember what was in it. Heh, I have this like soft jazz music playing in my head, been there since I looked at them, now I really miss the old affiliation, YS is the destroyer of memories, but not the destroyer of us. Heh, I saw Joshi's old email, and his little avvy, "Yoshi rules!" I think is what it was, and he was 13! Haha, before I was there. I saw Nightcroshi, Baby Bowser, Graedius the Red Mage (what happened to your name Graedius?), all the memories, I'm glad you have those links, they've been added to my favorites. Ah, look at me ramble, I started out with a simple reply to Contention's post and here I am strolling through memory lane. Heheh, I guess I should stop, but I still can't get over seeing teh with his age being my current one, 16, those were some real good times...
Looking back again, I realize, I've never felt this way about YC before. I mean, it was always a great community, best friends I've ever had, a utopia of sorts. Now I realize, it's much more than that, it's a part of my past, no, of our past. Teh is the one who inspired me to come here, he told me about a great forum with great people. Of course, I never believed him, being a little 13 or 14 year old. Eventually, I came, in the form of Newyoshi, too shy to reveal myself. After finding out how awesome this place really was, I deleated my account without notice and signed up as Dragon. It was here I met some of the greatest friends of all time, Joshi, Aniki, Rage, Edward Dinero, Graedius, PFY, Toshi, Yoshiken, just to name some. Of course, there are people who come here who I met elswhere, like Contention. Looking back, I wish I could've been a heck of a lot more active. I mean, there got to a point where I just didn't really have much of an opinion to alot of the topics here, but you know what(?), I still loved this place, visited every day. And when I found out about the change, PFY would know because I asked him, but I was PO'd. Heh, I'm just glad I'm back and still here with you guys. And, I want you all to know, though I may be one insignificant member, I still care about you guys and this forum. And even if I don't post for long periods of time, I'm still visiting and watching out for you all. Well, I should stop, pointless rambling now, and I doubt anyone is reading this anyway.

I read it, Dragon ***sniffs*** I'm sure I'll feel about YC like that someday! It is truly a great place to come and talk as you would with anyone else about everything. Problems or jokes or issues. And share writngs and art in a place that they can be appreciated. Forums are truly great, and forms that have nice members (YC YC YC YC YC!!!!!!!!) are the best ever!
Also, those links don't work Mecha!
And an Update: I like these colors now, it took some geeting used to, and I'm sure if I saw the old template again it would be awkrawd again!
Go, go, YC!
