For those who have applied to all of these. Ah, guess that doesn't include me. xD I don't belong to the highest rank- although maybe I would have been close to if I hadn't switched accounts and accidently deleted this account once. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !

Oof, I hope that's not the faintest hint of elitism starting to creep in. I've already listened to a couple of examples away from the boards of how original members are meant to be better or more important.

Woah Frog, your sig is distorting the boards. Care to rectify it for us?
Mhmm, I remember one of the old board rules was that noone should create isolated groups (even though it was abundant either way) and I'm thinking maybe we should inforce something similar here. Unless it is a project that caters to all members, I'm not really liking the whole ideal we got going on here with the signatures. As I'm sure it would feel just as bad offline, being left out isn't something we as a community want to promote...so I suggest that you broaden the signature makings for everyone, or not at all.
The veterans here already have something to show for their hard work and loyalty to the boards - and that is by being remembered for what they have helped create. You don't need a title or a tag to show your 'rank' to anyone. If anything, we here are all equal and should treat others exactly the way we want to be treated. Noone here is 'better', or more 'upper class' than anyone else. Keep that in mind please, and show that we are open to all members, new or old.
Theory end.

Graediussss.. I have one for you! Come on MSN, you dum-dum! You always come on at like 5:00 AM. Come on MSN nowwwww. Just send it to me in a PM, if you would -- we're rarely on at the same time, and in recent times I've been and shall be rather busy during mid-day. and not nessesarily to distinguish an upper-class, but to kinda emphasize the group of those here in it's dawning days, and remained -- since many have left who were here to begin with.

But why exactly? Everyone knows who was here from the start, do we really need to show that through a select few signature pictures?
I don't see how that has anything to do with it, seeing as if people have left they won't be able to modify their signature anyway.

OK, 2 questions regarding The Classics: 1: How long technically does one have to stay? 2: Whoa!! Frog is Teh Shoe?! No kidding?!! AMAZING!! I know another person done on YoshiA--I mean, that other place.

It isn't a club. We aren't judging others by their ability. It was just our group, from the start. It's fact. And if you choose not to be a part of that, than that's your perogative. But I find that there is no harm in just having a graphic in my signature.

Club, group, alliance, circle, clique, company, crew, faction, fraternity, gang, guild, hangout, league, meeting, mob, order, outfit, ring, set, society, sodality, union...they all mean the same thing, whichever way you put it. You aren't judging people by their ability, but you are judging them by how they happened to come upon this place earlier than the other members. I didn't say it wasn't a fact, but the point of the matter is you are taking it and flaunting it in front of everyone else, and that kind of arrogance isn't appreciated by me, and I'm sure the other members who weren't here from the start. I have no problem with your signature, or anyone elses' for that matter. I just don't want you to turn it into a 'group' of people, who are only allowed in by your standards. Really, 'club' is the precise word I would use to describe it.

OK, here's another problem then.
On one side, you're saying its for people who've been here from the beginning. That's defining a certain few individuals and whether its intentional or not, it forms a club or group, full stop as no one can turn back the clock and 'earn' a matching status..
On the flip side, two of the 'classics' are Toshi and PFY. Quite a few people have been here longer than either.
So then it becomes a post count issue? Well, we already have 'ranks' in the avatar regarding post counts. Having another one like the 'classics' is only going to encourage spam as people try to earn a sig etc.
Alternativly, its just a 'Tempest likes you' stamp since it seems to need your total approval under whatever criteria you feel like. Which is fair enough but shouldn't be disguised as something its not.

This topic has been twisted from its original intent, and therefore to save further arguments and flame war, shall be locked. The matter has been discussed outside of the boards, and everything is fine. The signatures are allowed to stay.
(please bear in mind the rules for signatures also - table distortion is no fun for anyone...!)
