I really wish we could talk more Dragon but i have been grounded for the next three months and its harder than ever to sneak on! Ouch, yeah I know how that is, my internet was down recently for almost a week, it made it impossible to get on, it was torture! But yeah, XD, pointless rambling. But three months? That's pretty harsh, the most it's ever been for me is a couple of weeks. (Or you could count the weekend only rule I had last year. *Shivers*) Anyhow, just drop me a pm or email whenever you get the chance. And, I don't know if your parents would allow it, but you could probably use a library computer for an hour each day. That's what I normally do... if I'm allowed that is XD. |

Ironic, the timing of this thread's creation, really -- I had been considering even more as of late these sorts of things, the friends one has, the longevity of their being, and how increasingly important they become... of course, many of you included in that, for me. I guess it's kind of how that one songs goes, "You never know what you've got, 'till it's gone..." and as such it's made me think a lot about the dear friends I hold here...
teh yoshi, John - What can't I say of you at this point? In the very beginning (and obviously still now) you were always looked upon by me as such a figure of respect and importance, well-liked by everyone, talented, witty and smart on levels that I would not be able to compete with, and I knew it. I always looked up to you, wished I could one day possibly be as you were, and are... you're forever and always an undying friend, and now, a whole lot more than just that, sometihng I could not have predicted or expected in a million years to ever happen, but it did. I just wish I could be there with you now... You are, simply put, the sexiest thing out there, and you know it. >:3
Mailtroid, Dennis -- where to begin with you, Dennis. You've done something for me of the likes which I can never be able to repay, given a gift to me unlike anything I'd ever received, or ever expected to receive in my lifetime. I've learned a lot when I was with you, and now that I no longer am, I truly miss being there with you... you were always funny, always happy, always willing to make me feel better, and I know that's a prominant quality within you. I only hope that things go well for you, amongst your many appointments and job-related issues, because you deserve it to no end.
Yoshiken, Kurtis -- Ah, you. One of the very first friends I ever met here, at the YC, and will always be one of the most memorable. You're always happy, willing to help, and willing to play along with the most rediculous of roleplays and games, heheh. You were among the few to know the real me, heh.... and accepted me through it all. I only hope that your move to Arizona will not cause any greatproblems in terms of your relationship with Angela -- "parting makes the heart grow fonder."
Anjil, Angela -- You've always been nothing but a good friend to me, again one of the first friends I made here and one of the original members of these forums. No matter what nonsense I throw at you, you always manage to humor me and listen to it all, hehe... During the times when they were frequent, you always added a fun addition to any random group-RP, and I've always been a big fan of your artistic skills, heheh. It's most certainly great having you as such a friend, and as I said above to Kurty, I hope that nothing wavers due to his move away from you.
Aniki, Gustavo -- Heheh, as I said to you before, your character has always been such a cutie, and I can't say why. I just cannot resist the urge to smother you in cuddley affections. >:3 You've never failed to be a great friend to me, always there to listen to my rants of nonsense, and constantly there to help if you're ever needed. Your presence has always made me a little happier each day, and I only hope that I can provide the same things in return, I'll be there to help you with any little thing if you be needin' it.
Joshi, Johannon. (two N's?) Strange how I met you indeed, first over a period if very spares and uncommon emails, sent back and forth maybe only four or five times before I ended up coming here -- and only through you did it ever happen. I truly attribute all of the events that have passed in the last two years regarding the YC and me to have happened as a result of you, for if you'd never prodded me into joining here, I likely never would have, and never would've met the many great people I have, and for that I own no end of thanks you you. :3
Fifth, Unknown to me. You're quite the special case, to me -- the hooded figure in the dark robe who is an enigma to all around him, and never talks much -- yet speaks only words of importance when he does. I don't know what to make of you, man. I just know you're incredibly skilled to the point that I've found quite no equal rival, and your interests are rather like mine. I just hope we can talk more in the future, because if you think anything like I would in your current situation, I know I'd like someone to talk to a lot more oftenly...
TimYoshi, Tim (XD). Hehe, the leader of this group of manical internet-goers whom I associate with on a regular basis. You've always been a most interesting character to me, as well as a great friend. It's always nice to find someone with like interests in a place least expected, eh? Your art has improved a lot over the time that I've been here, and now you know how much I appreciate your more recent ones, heheh. ^^; Just always hang on, no matter how demanding life gets, Timmy. :3
Toshi, Ollie. You were one I horribly misjudged at first, to the point that a great apology is really required. I don't know what my problem was, and I do really appologize for my actions -- you're a great guy, funny, and a nice artist, too. ^^;; I'm just really glad to have you around, always someone wonderful to talk/be with when no one else is, at my incredibly late hours at night, hahah! ^^
Blood, Joey. The same goes for you, only not as significantly in the misjudgment part -- I did misjudge you as well, for reasons beyond even my knowing. But I know you're -- for the most part >:3 -- a really sweet person, who cares a lot for his friends, and is rather funny and nice to have around in those group convos, heheh. Someone I know I can always turn to if I need to speak about something, and I hope you feel the same back, I hope all of you feel the same back... It's too bad we never got to meet you when we were gathered in California last... perhaps if all goes well, another chance may arise soon...

Koshizu, Josie. I don't know quite what you think of me, I don't know if I ever will. You've always been one of the more intelligent friends I've had, with a wit like none other I can compare to. I promise you, Dale... in a few years, however long it takes, I shall talk with you on a regular basis again... and I shall meet you, as we had planned years ago, now... just do two things for me. Never cut off contact with me entirely, even if you do only find the time ever half-year... and just, never change, Dale... no matter what has been done to you, never change yur beleifs or ways.... don't let them win.

Hm, it seems I might be kinda unfriendly person, harhar! D: (What isn't a lie after all) I mean, since I can't write novels about THAT many people here like you guys do ... maybe only about those who are on my MSN contact list, and I chat a "lot" with them ("lot" = correlated to other members from here. So above 1000 characters per month, haha). Hmmm, and these are Blood (the gigahypersuperboy) and Koshi (the gigahypersupergirl), I'm afraid. Nah, nah, however, that does not mean that I don't respect other members from here, but I don't want to create a list, because I'm surely going to miss a load of people out in that case! So rather:

I shall take this chance to thank all those that have given me the opportunity to become a participant of this wonderful community. There's too many to thank though, so I shall thank those who have played a special role in all this, heh.
In no particular order,
During the last 14 months of me being here, I've seen such a lot. I've seen such a lot of new members come along, and stick around, and others dissappear without a trace. These people I mention in this post hold a significant place in my memories of the 'Yoshi's Corner Experience'. Looking back, many different things have happened. Arguments, 'touching' leaving threads, people getting on with each other, it's all been done here, on Yoshi's Corner. It's something other forums envy, because we all get along so well here.
It's this reason why I feel there is no place online I'd rather be.
For this, I'd like to thank every single member for making such a wonderful community. It's been one heck of a ride, and I'm happy to be able to defend it from the many morons in the world, jealous of this forums success.
Now, I shall take the chance to show those few special people, who have made this ride, every bit as enjoyable as the next, while difficult, as I don't talk on MSN, AIM or Yahoo often...)
(Again, In no particular order...)
Toshi(Ollie): It's been a while since we first met eachother online, and during that time, we've talked about many things, we've each had dilemma's, which we've both helped each other out of, and to be quite honest, had a blast over MSN. I remember when the 'Contact request' window first came up, back in October of 2004. Me remaining quiet (as I always do on MSN), I never realised you would eventually become one of my closest online friends, along with someone I'll mention soon. It's always a pleasure to talk to you over MSN because after a day of work, it's good to chill out, talking to someone. Well, unemployment makes time to talk to everyone infinite, but thats a good thing. You've always been there when I've been down in the dumps about something, when I confess I have a problem and I'm eternally thankful. Thanks for taking me through the last year and showing me that I'm not the only British Yoshi fan, heh.
Mailtroid(Dennis): Again, while we don't talk often, when we do, it's always about something productive. Managed to get me back on Skype, and meeting Teh, Grae, Blood and CherryBlossom over there too. To be quite honest, there have been times when I've kicked myself because I tend to go on talking about something for lengthy periods of time, and also, talking quicker than I usually do (Belive it or not, when I'm shy, I tend to start talking quicker, and about things I know full well (After I've talked about them) you wouldn't know anything about. No idea why, I do the same when I'm in interviews). For that I apologise, because that's not how I am usually. Getting off the subject of my jerky Skype ettiquette, you've established you're most interested in helping people out, whatever the situation, which makes a really great person. You're a really nice bloke, and I'm happy to have the opportunity to meet such an awesome person. Thanks!
Yoshi Wannabe: Ya know, it's been too long since we've spent a good week, talking about nothing, heh. I'm a very lucky person to know you because you're also a good bloke to talk to, I hope you know that. We've both covered our own backs when we've been in dilemma's. Another reason why you've been such a large impact on my life because we've spent so long talking about so much. Also talking on skype, when the opportunity arises, talking about doing speedruns and such (Been a while since we did that Halo 2 speedrun. Can't belive neither of us timed it XD). Also, my poor excuse for a SMB3 speedrun too. Had a right laugh doing that. Gawd, there's so much I could say because we've got through so much in the past year. And to think, the first time we met, it was to 'enhance' the TYFN anniversary joke thingy which turned into a shambles. From that point on, we had a good laugh over so many things. Also the 'messenger pranks' I did too, if you remember those. (Maybe I ought to do more of those, or is it too mean? XD) Looking back on the past year, you've been through a lot, and a lot of that, you didn't deserve to have thrown at you, but remember that I'm here if you need any advice on the position you find yourself in. I'll always be here to help you as best I can. You know, it's something friends do. I'm so happy I met someone who could show me how to have a good time over messenger. There's not many really nice blokes out there. You're one of those that shows that you care a lot. Thanks for putting up with me, heh. And yes, you're 'that' next closest online friend I mentioned in Toshi's post.
Dragon(My memory draws a blank, hehe. Please forgive me, heh): It has been a while since we spoke, indeed. When we do, something good always comes out of it, heh. Once again, the forum has shown that it has a lot of very nice people in it. You're no exception to that. You're a very nice bloke, who cares for where the community is heading. Thankfully, it's going up (Cheesy song lyric time - I have no idea of the song title though =P). "The only way is up! Baby! For yo-" and I'll stop there, heh. I feel ashamed I can't write anymore because we've been on each other's contact lists's now for a while. I apologise for being quiet. It's just that I respect other people's privacy. Despite that, it's always a pleasure to talk to you.
Joshi(The name remembering gene was something I was not blessed with =P): Been a while since we talked. Although, we talked around 20 minutes ago, heh. Glad to see that everything's going your way. Once again, you're no exception to the fact that the forum has a lot of nice people in it. You're very multitalented, I must say. Being able to construct fanfics, and draw well is something not many artists, and fanfic writers are blessed with. It'd be really nice to see you be able to write something that would rival 'Harry Potter', and gain a lot of wealth from it. You'd also be even more respected than you are now, and I have a high degree of respect for you myself, as I do for everyone I've mentioned in this post. A very nice bloke indeed. Once again, thanks for putting up with me.
Teh-Yoshi(John): Gosh, I don't know what to say. You're a very talented person, able to produce the best unofficial artwork anyone is capable of producing, and being able to play a piano, in front of lots of other people, thats something not many are blessed with either. From past conversations, and the very short conversations, and the day long Skype conversations when I probably wouldn't shut up, you proved to be a very nice bloke. I can only apologise for how quiet I am over Messenger, compared to my overblown nature on Skype, but this isn't about my inability to not be shy, this is about what a caring and considerate bloke you are. It's people like you that keep the community spirit ticking as well as it was when it first started. Once again, thanks for putting up with me.
I'll be continuing this post later, This has already taken more than 3 hours to write.

I do have a quick shout out, it's for a recently newfound friend, here goes, for about the oh 20 minutes I've known you XD. You three are like the big brothers I've never had. The guys I hold closest to me, the ones I can always pop a conversation with, the guys who make my day, every day.
John, the first paragraph is yours ^^. The first time I ever talked to you we hit it off well, you were so friendly to me, so funny and charming. I greatly admire you, you're so real and honorable, you're never one to pull a dirty trick on someone, in fact, I find it hard to believe someone like you has ever sinned even once in his life. You always show that you care by asking if I'm doing alright, you're always someone I can talk to, wether it's friendly and silly, or a rant about my day. Don't you ever thank me for anything, the thank you isn't needed, everything I do for you I enjoy doing, all I ask of you is that you keep on being awesome like that. Can you do that for me? ^^
Luke, a sugar coated sweetheart who can win over anyone in the world. I have to admit that I had no idea you were so nice when I met you, you kind of freaked me out with the whole furry licking thing XD. But I guess I've learned to love it and live with it. You taught me that it's okay to love anyone, regardless of any differences. Something I didn't understand in the least before I met you. You have made friends many more people than I have, no doubt, your charm is irresistable to anyone, which is reflected by the hordes of friends you have. I really envy your social skills LEVEL UP ! !. Keep that fuzzy attitude! ^^
James... You have the uncanny ability to make people laugh, to make people say "Daaaamn.", to brighten someone's day, to humiliate someone like a pro, and to talk about anything at all. Anything. All without showing the slightest sign of emotion, your style of humor is so rare and unique, and you pull it off so well. You have no idea how many times you've made me bust into laughter. You are very wise, I often ask you for help with social issues, most of the time your advice works like a charm. I tend to "hit rocks" a lot when I'm around you because I'm afraid to ask questions of you, I'm glad that you're not the type to laugh at me for asking. I tell you a lot of my secrets, you are very trustworthy in my eyes and you always keep your word, another thing I admire about you.
Everyone loves you, James! But you stand still and emotionless, don't lose that attitude!

Hey, if any of you didn't get a shout out, well here it comes.
For anyone who hasn't been mentioned thus far: I want to thank each and every one of you. I can't make a list, I don't know everyone here, just remember it's for you. I want to say thank you for sticking around and being here. Without anyone here, the forum would be... well it'd be dead. And even if you are new, that doesn't matter. We were all new once, even Timmy had to have been right? It's you guys that keep the forum up and running, sure moderators and administrators are here, but the members are the ones that keep it active. So if you haven't been mentioned, well you are now. You guys aren't forgotten, I haven't, just know that you are apart of this community, and we all are one family. You know who you are, and you are a brother/sister in this family.
EDIT: It just became apparent to me that I'm not giving credit where it's due. Contention, or David if you prefure is who deserves it. We talked (on the phone!) today and he brought this thread up. We mentioned how a lot of people might feel left out. In short, he inspired me to write this, because no one should be left out, we're all human, and here at YC, we're all family. Thanks David, but really, you deserve it all, you're a true friend to not just me, but everyone here.
