I like Montessori schools...they let you learn what is necessary for life, nothing else. VARIABLES AND OTHER ALGERBA CRAP HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING THE KIDS IN MY CLASS WILL WORK AT DOING! And why do I need a lot of what I learn in Science?!? Earth Science makes sense, but physical science (protons, orbitals) makes none! Once again, the math is logic and being able to understand cause and effect. Atoms matter (Ha, ha) because they are the building blocks of all objects ("Why are Noble Gasses stable?"). Knowing how it works prevents people from being able to convince you to believe things like, say, "The earth is about 2,000 years old according to da Bible, so the earth is about 2,000 years old." It also should give you the workings of one of the most important concepts you must ever understand, ever. Why things happen the way the do: Objects in nature move toward the lowest state of potential energy.

But I'm going to be a writer, my point is that yes school is verrrrrry important and we do need to learn, but earth science (how to use thermoters, how to predict storms, how to see illnesses in certain foods) thos are things we need. But knowing about atoms is good, but not needed, and I have spent two solid months on it. And since I'm going to be a writer I need literature and english, but I'm not going to write stories about atoms or how to use paryactoids! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh....
