I've only met two of my online friends so far, as well, one of them was coming all the way from Vegas to visit his lady friend and the lady friend lives 3 hours away from me, so... I took a drive I also met her sister, but I don't count that because I've never talked to her online LEVEL UP ! !I also kicked the crap out of them all in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Like what Teh said earlier, we met. ^_^ That's a really short description of it though, it was one of the best moments of my life. Ok like, Halloween of 05, Luke and John are in Vegas and I want to go, dad says yes but then changes his mind. Then I asked to go on New Years, he again pulled what he did on Halloween. Then, on the fifth, my mom walks in and tells me to smile. Then dad walks in and asks if she wants to go to Las Vegas. She says no, as always. I'm sitting there like, "Wha...? Wait really? Are we going???..." I follow them out, and my mom tells me to ask my dad. I ask him, and he says, "No, you've been punked!" (Apparently that's a tv show of some sort...) So, here I am thinking it's another Halloween dejavu. Well, on the sixth, mom wakes me up early, tells me to pack, and gets me in the shower. I'm thinking to myself, "OMG, this cannot be happening!" We finally leave at around 9 or 10am on our trip to Las Vegas! And from Phoenix, it's about a six-seven hour drive. Anyway, we get there, and check in to the Fairfield Inn and Suites. We get a room, #309. We get in, and I begin unpacking, while my dad goes out for a ciggarrette with my mom accompanying him, she doesn't smoke though. I call up John and he says to call back around 6 or 6:15pm since they're eating dinner at a resturaunt. Well, I leave the room after unpacking to ask them something, I forget what though. Well, they said yes and I, yeah it was to make popcorn. (There was no microwave in the room so I had to use the one in the dining area.) Anyway, I'm making it, and I'm also shaking as heck because I knew I'd meet John soon. Well, I finally get back to the room, and my parents tell me that we got the wrong room, so we had to pack everything back up and move it all back down to the lobby, and we were on the third floor. They asign us a new room, fourth floor this time, room #414. We get there, and we hear a tv going. So we knock and it's already occupied! So we have to move all of our stuff back to the elevator and go back to the lobby for another room. Finally, we're given room #403, which is a suite. Now the other room we were in, was just a hallway, a bathroom, a bed, and a tv, with a desk of course. Now this one, I walked in and I'm all like, "Oh... my God. Wow..." The bathroom was to our right, wide thing. Then there was this little living room space, with a CD Radio, tv, table, desk, and then it was partially seperated from the bedroom part which had two beds, another tv, and a desk. Anyway, I decide to call John up again, since it's time, and he says to call back again later, since he's at the store with his dad waiting on his brother, something along those lines I believe. So I consider this to be perfect, since we need to eat dinner ourselves. We get take out at Denny's and bring it to the room, I end up calling back around 8:30pm, and John says it'd be a great time to go to his house since he's on his way home as we spoke. So we left and began looking for his house, with me shaking in the backseat, not to mention having like a hundred butterflies in my stomach! We, we search, and search, and search for about two hours or so. With no luck though, very bad directions, never rely on Mapquest! XD Anyway, we return to the hotel and I'm pretty bummed. Though my parents said he could come up that night, or tomorrow morning before we leave. Anyway, I called him up telling him the news, and I gave him our room #, the hotel's address, and the hotel's phone #. Afterwords, I decide to ask the clerk in the lobby if the number I gave John was correct. He said yes, which of course made me happy. Then I asked how much the Book of Mormon was, since they had them in the room along with the Holy Bible. And he said I could take it home, free of charge! Surprised, I said thank you like three times. XD After it was done, I got back to the room, put it in my suitcase, wrote a thank you note, and left what I had in my wallet, a dollar and seventy-five cents, since it didn't feel right just taking it. (And I wanted it for, well reasons, let's just put it that way.) Anyway, I decided to continue unpacking and the phone rings, scaring the crap out of me. I answer it and it's John, though I kind of figured that. lol He asks if now would be a good time to visit, both of my parents say yeah, so I said I'd meet him in the lobby. Then he says that all he has to do is ask his brother if he can pick him up, so he has a ride back, and he'd call back when he was done asking his brother. I waited for five minutes, no call. I get a little more bummed out and decide I'll wait in the lobby after I'm done unpacking. Well, around 11pm, there's a knock at the door. I'm sitting there like, "No, OMG, it's him...!" My mom answers it and hear her mutter "John Olson". I'm almost hiding thinking "No..." The door opens, and I go for it. We say hi, and as he walks in, I'm mouthing to my mom, "OMG, it's him, it's HIM!" So we start talking in the hotel, I show him my music journal, my Me Book, and my mom gives him this Sudoku book to try out. He seems to like it, but he says it'd drive him insane. XD Then I decide to go out to the car and get some gifts I had for him, a picture of me to remember me by, a magnet from my Sedona trip, and a Daniel Nahmod CD. We walk back into the hotel and sit in the dining area and talk for most of the night. We later go back up to the room where my mom takes some pictures, and he meets my dad. Then his mom and brother call, ready to pick him up, they had trouble finding the hotel. Well they arrive and we all meet just outside the lobby. I finally say bye, at around 1am. It was hard, but I kept my spirits up. That whole night made the trip. Then next morning, we left Nevada, took a tour of Hoover Dam, and continued home.

I agree with you, but no one is even close to me. Who knows, I may meet someone someday...

Ah hey have faith there buddy; I think the same thing from time to time. No one lives out here in Indiana. Just remember one thing, no matter what comes you'll always be friends with someone for who knows how long. It may seem like a long time, but you'll meet someone from somewhere on here someday. You may not meet a YC member, because at times we all move on and try new things. Who knows, maybe someday we shall all see something new or try something new. But as long as you have the spirit that day will come to you, just remember how much you wish for it.

Theres always this thing if you want to see how close members might be to you. Meeting people would be cool but like IO probably mentioned before lack of travel capability and cashmoney puts paid to that

wow, that's amazing, I never noticed that. I'd sign up on that, but then anyone could know my location, and I'm absurdly paranoid about that kind of thing. Though it's cool to see how diversly every is spread out.
Oh, and thank you Contenion, that was kind of you. I'll remember that. You're right, you know.
