Hmmm, about the only thing I can think of would be Pantry, which is where you store dry and canned foods, but that seems like a word you'd already know...

No, but my favorite words are pretty much obscure as well, such as "caseous" and "retromingent."

Perosnally, I prefer:
Floccinaucinihilipilification - the act of estimating something as worthless. Antidisestablishmentarianism - opposition to the disestablishment of a church. Nicatinamideadaninedinucleotide - a Gnat, y'know, those tiny worthless insects.
A pack of foxes is called a skulk, and a group of crows is called a murder. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! Ballistaria makes sense, because a Ballista is a seige-weapon of sorts that's like a giant crossbow, firing giant crossbow bolts.

My personal favorite: Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis - the disease of the inhalation of fine silica and volcanic dust.
I don't know of any names of rooms though. =P

Dude, what's Gerrymandering mean? That literally has my first name in the word! XD Gerrymandering is a word used to describe setting up voting districts to give an advantage to one candidate over another, or to concentrate the votes of the opposition in as few districts as possible. Look through the Phrontistery for those obscure room words you're looking for.

Well a Cathedral is a room, in all actuality, a Cathedral and a Church and a Chapel are all the same. A cathedral is only named differently because of the Cathedra, which is a giant chair only the Bishop of said religion can sit in, or something.
