Im going through a big problem...

I need some advise to give to one of the greatest friends ive had in my life. heres what is says and stuff... this is kinda hard to talk about but, (Ill blog out the cussing )

Meee: some kid just came up to me and looked down and said "Hey...wanna hang with us" and im like "Sure what the hell" and hes like "Nice morbid pic" and i look at it and say "Thanks." and hes like "Whatever" and Im like "Whatever" and we go sit at a table and everyones either just sitting there, reading a book, or something.

And there you have it folks, my best friend i dont know whatll happen but...yeah. Thats my dark secret that i mentioned in a post. I hope at least one of you have something to say about this...something to help me help her. -__- The thing is i met her on that craphole of a game runescape...and i met an awesome friend named justin on there too. I was just about to quit because i couldnt figure out the point of playing or anything but i had a bunch of friends on it. Anywho, my other friend ryan, justins friend, is the one shes "obsessed with". before all this justin and her went out and stuff but the broke up, went out again, and broke up for good. Then she stopped talking to me. After a long time i found her name in an old file emailed her. She was happy and everythign to see me and stuff. But then she said the thing about ryan and i was all happy for her and THEN she started thinking "Omg what if its like last time, what if we break up and stuff and never talk to eah other again and omg omg" I tried to help her but...now i dont know what to do...i thought maybe someone like Yoshiken or Anjil would know about somehting like this. God help me =______=;; Anyone that has anything to say, say it please ><;

dude, theres some worst people ive met. a 14 year old kid had a son to a 15 year old girl, who die shortly after she was born. she should be considered lucky.

dude, unless you like this girl, you shouldnt be concerned. i thought you liked yink. the people on runescape, mostly the girls, have magor problems. im not saying that everyone, but runescape isnt a really good friend to pick up a girl. she needs to face reality. she needs to be happy shes alive. girls can have certain stages of their life when they think that their life is "falling apart." just let them be.

First you have to be totally committed. Support is a long and often frustrating process, and you can never give up once you have started going in-depth.

You give us that Mary is obsessed with Ryan. Part of this is that Mary puts her image of self-worth based on Ryan's actions and reactions; her center is based on Ryan. It's an easy trap to fall in to, but is very unstable, as you have seen. Situations will be similar to these:

Ryan makes a rude comment, Mary reacts with "My day is ruined."
Ryan flirts with a friend, Mary racts with "I've been betrayed. I hate my friend."
Ryan says "I think we should see other people," Mary reacts with "My life is over. You don't love me anymore."

Make sure Mary understands that the more she centers her life on Ryan, the more unattractive she will be to him. It's irritating when someone builds their life around you, since their security comes from you and not themselves, they need to have those brutal "where do we stand?" discussions. She will have to understand that she needs to move her center somewhere else.

A possible solution is to change her center to ideas that are more stable. A stable center is being Principle Centered. We are familiar with gravity. What goes up must come down. It's a natural law or principle. Just as they apply to the natural world, they also apply to the human world. Principles aren't exclusionary, they apply to everyone. Honesty is a principle. Hard Work is a principle. Respect, Understanding, intergity, loyalty, responsibility are all principles. There are many, many more. They are not hard to identify; your heart will recognize true principles.

Principles never fail. They do not spread rumors, they do not change, they do not become obsolete. Consider a life based on the opposites, one based on dishonesty, loafing, undulgence, ingratitude, selfishness and hate. It's difficult to imagine any good coming out of that. Whatever situation comes, ask "What principle is in play here?" For every problem, search for a principle that will help solve it. If no one trusts you, then honesty might be just what you need.

How to get someone there changes for each individual, and that you will have to do on your own. Listen to them and offer advice when you can. Be gentle, supportive and seek to understand before making claims. Never be judgmental and keep opinions and accusations in check. If they are willing to open up to you, then asking questions is a good method to see what kinds of things you will have to say or deal with.

I witnessed a similar situation last week (except it was in real life, and it was the guy who was all upset, but he didn't claim that "his life was over.")

All I can say is that if you don't know much about the relationship, and if the part[y/ies] that you are involved with doesn't want to talk about it, then just leave them alone. You'd be getting to much in the way, and I'm sure that they'll figure the whole thing out on their own.

Meh i told her that then she just trammpled all over me I said theres more in the world, people say "Its a small world after all" but its not its a large world filled with new faces to meet and new places to go. She just said "w/e" <<; thats what got me po'd but i think...know your right lazoshi thanks.
