So.. what kinda music does everyone listen to here? Top 40? Rap?
Thats basically what I listen to.. R&b.. HipHop.. thats just the style of music I was brought up listening to. Anyone have a favorite artist or band? Song?

Happy hardcore, hardcore, all other subgenres, and gabber. No, it's not the rock/punk type of hardcore crap. I can't stand that.
And sorry to burst anybody's bubble, but I can't stand about 95% of mainstream music out there, especially hip hop and rap. I can appreciate the lyrics and the rapping, for they require talent, but the music just violently murders my inner child. The beats are incredibly repetitive and slow. It cycles over and over and over with a gross melody, I hate it! I love songs with uplifting melody, and I also must have speed. I guess I don't associate too well with slow songs, but there are very few exceptions. And if I'm feeling in a rather badass or angry mood, I'll listen to gabber, which is basically piss-off 4beat hardcore.
I'm not too ignorant about music in general, and I don't wish to be, but that's just my choice. I don't hate any other genre out there, really, except for hip hop and rap. I don't even hate country! (always hearing people say this exact phrase, "I listen to everything except country") I can appreciate other types of music, but mainstream songs just makes me sick.

Lol.. I'm not a follower or anything.. That kind of music just appeals to me. If you like fast and uplifting music, do you like techno? Or like the songs from DDR.. But I dont think anyone knows what that is do they?  |

Wow, everyone here just loves VG music dont they? I am not that big of a fan. VG music is only good when your playing the VG for me.. I downloaded the song Love me Forever.. It's cool.. but it just sounds like fast talking with techno music in the background. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
EDIT: Oh, nevermind. I hear the singing now.

Actually, i like a little bit of everything. Yes, even Country (which i adopted from my mom). I even like a little Metal, such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, etc.(which i adopted from my dad). I also like a little bit of Punk Rock (which my brother listens to). But, i mostly like Hip-Hop and R&B. I don't like hardcore Rap (such as the ones that rap about gangs, etc). I hate that stuff. I like those romantic Slow Jamz such as the ones by Alicia Keyes and Mario Winans. I also like high-energy Hip-Hop, such as that one song by Usher. Oh yes, and i hate Pop. It annoys the heck out of me.

Hardcore is pretty underground, albeit its popularity is growing rapidly in the UK, which I'm afraid of because it's starting to become more crap and unoriginal. It's still quite unknown in most other countries, such as all of North America. I just hope it'll never become popular/mainstream. |

Hm.. I mainly like game music (there's a lot of really good stuff out there, but I'm sure you all know that.) As far as bands go... um... Phish? I don't really have any other particular favorites... Basically, I'll enjoy anything with nice chords. I'm-a likin' the chords.  |
