Yes, it's the middle of the school year and some, if not most schools. So, what do you think of the Mid terms? Personally (remember this is my opinion of free speech) I like these finals. I have 7 classes and four of the finals were a sinch. It also easens everything up because you get multiple choice work if they give you tests. My finals classes: English (had to do a debate) French (I'm fluent ) Social Issues Math (easy enough for me) Science (I actually had to study) Homework class (no finals) Computers (watched an entertaining movie) Finals has been going pretty smooth, but how many people aren't getting as lucky?

I have a midterm report for ASR... that's all I know in terms of midterms. All of my finals are at the end of the year, four of them in the form of Regents exams.

Luck doesn't favor me. I've got alot of texts that I will dorwn in next week, then I have midterms right after vacation. I have no idea what's on them, but I know they will be extreme. These are estimates:
Math: A huge test with multiple choice, short answer, essays, the works Biology: Same Spanish: Same TV Class: A film project worth half my grade English: A VERY big test, one the determines wether or not I graduate (I HATE this test) Phys Ed: A long endurance test History: Same as Math
Uh... then I have all of the other tests before vacation, as well as a project in History class due the day before vacation starts. Uh... so no, I have alot to do, and alot to study for durring christmas vacation

Hopefully, you won't need to resort to luck on multiple choices.

Same thing is going on with me next week. My finals are heavily approaching and becoming quite the pain in my neck and making things very much a hassle. Some of the finals are over things that my teachers want me to read over the weekend and prepare for. I don't like that idea, I'd rather have it over things from the first semester. Notes are easy to review, but I don't want to have to take a whole new batch of notes on chapters we should read for our final. So far I have seven finals, as I do have classes in a day along with extra things. Some of the finals seem easy, yet you can never know. None of them I feel really confident in besides choir, because well thats choir and all you need to do is sight read on the spot.
I need to write out an outline for our upcoming essay on our English portion, the Math essay was today and was pretty easy. Hopefully the other will be suprising, besides Zoology I feel a near death coming from that one...., that class causes more and more harm. We had the choice to go into Chemistry. I thought Zoology would be nice, you know study of animals and all. Well one thing I heavily dislike about it would be the coming dissection of Cats and Sharks that we will have to attempt to do soon after finals and returning to school.
So finals coming up for me unfortuantly seem to be:
Zoology 1/2X (Next Monday, Huge multiple choices and one long essay. Two hours to complete.) AP World History (Tuesday, Multiple Choice over material we still have to read, and Two already known essays, 2 hour completion time) Geometry 1/2 (Tuesday, Multiple Choice. Essay and Proof already done Thursday of this week, 2 hour test) Health (Wednesday, Multiple Choice and One Essay, 2 hour completion) English 1/2X (Wednesday, Multiple Choice, AP Poem Anaylsis, One Essay over the connection of three poems with one theme through the Anglo Saxon, Rennisance, and Reformation periods, 2 hour test) Choir (Thursday, Sight Singing and Essay and Solo, 2 hour completion) Japanese (Thursday, Multiple Choice and Japanese Essay, 2 hour completion)
The only Essay that gets to me is the English one, the outline will stump me. If you get Essays like that just really keep in mind that when they say you should prepare its true. Try to take time to write it out and think it over. They can get overcomplicated if left in the dust.

I guess I could be considered lucky, most of mine I won't have problems with.
World History: Test (Only hard part is remembering dates and those crazy Chinese names) Weight Training: Fitness test (Easy) English: Test (Shouldn't be too hard, unless we have to define the vocab we've been given over the semester) Biology: Not sure, probably a test or a lab (I'll probably have to study over the break) French: My teacher believes that tests will only make you cram so you don't end up retaining the information, so we're doing a project about a kid goes to France as a foreign exchange student. (So yeah, pretty easy) Beginning Painting: Not sure, probably a demonstration showing we know all the techniques we've learned. Geometry: Test (Pretty easy, but I'll have to study this annoying section on triangles)
I'm going to have a bunch of tests before break starting tomarrow. Not looking forward to that, but I should be able to get through them without too much of a problem. Heheh.

I used to have finals, but they're done. American Gov't and International Relations were at 7:30 AM, and I'm still trying to figure out what Diabolical Machinations combined to make them that way.
Compostion: Final Project. We had to take a paper we had written and revise it. I chose to do the second one, which was Analysis of a Movie. My movie was Dogma. I argued Responsibility.
History of East Asia: Take home exam, with 4 short answers and one essay. The short answers were quotations from readings that ranged from The Autobiography of Yukichi Fukuzawa to Wild Swans: Three daughters of China to Lost Names: Scenes of a Korean Boyhood. The essay was whether we agreed or disagreed with the idea that strong governments played a pivitol role in East Asia's rise to power.
Geology: Multiple choice, 5 possible answers, 100 questions and two hours. Comprehensive. The single hardest test I have ever taken, ever.
American Gov't: Multiple choice, 5 possible answers, 100 questions and two hours. Comprehensive. Easy slice in 30 minutes.
International Relations: Multiple choice, 4 possible answers, 50 questions. Stuff after test #2. 50 minutes. Easy slice in 15 minutes.

I have already taken finals in Spanish 2, Health, Geography, and Geometry. Tomarrow I have LA and Biology.
My thoughts: Spanish 2: Easiest one yet, but I still only got a 91 Health: I have the highest grade in my class and I think it was pretty difficult Geography: Pretty easy and I took this final when the power was out in school today Geometry: Easier than Geography and I also took this one in the dark Biology: (not taken yet) My best subject, no need to study hard. LA: (not taken yet) studied sentence structure and literature terms
Al last week I was also taking essays for about every class and performance finals in select classes as well.

All finals are after the break for me. We were going to have a take-home final for AP Government for vacation, but my teacher changed his mind.
Well, I did have an exam for Physics on Wednesday, but I'm not sure if it was the final or not. I'm pretty sure it was just a unit test, since it was strangely easier than some of the past exams in Physics.

My Trig Exam is the only one that caused me so much pain, hardly any of it was multiple choice, and no one in my class was able to finish the whole things.
I took my Humanities Final today and that was so freakin easy.
My Guitar final is Tuesday and thats going to be real easy too.
Physics final aint gonna be hard since i love science.
Chemistry CP will be ok, but my teacher loves making stuff difficult.
my Economics final will be easy since my teacher is so lenient.

My final exams aren't until January. I don't have midterms because my school is semestered. Personally I prefer the semestered system over un-semestered... you have less subjects to study and you remember it better ;D
