Ah. I feel like reminiscing on our days of the YC. I'm asking how you've grown over the years as a YC Yoster. :3 I saw my first posts...not pretty. I know there has been a post on this before. But, I think most of us has matured a lot more since then. I know I have. ¬¬; My art has gotten better too. I wonder if any of you remember the first few pictures I drew and posted here? TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! Edward Elric Yoshi for example. LEVEL UP ! ! I need to draw him again. >_o Anyway, this is mostly for the people that have been here for half a year or around then but I suppose newer-ish members can post their opinions too. Meh. Also name the friends that you've made if you want :3 Ive made countless:
Tempest, Nate, Red, Anjil, Leoshi, Symphonia, Yoshiken, Blinx, Caretaker(...or Waterboy LEVEL UP ! !), Yoshiko, Moshi, and more more more. Plus the friends that I've had already. LEVEL UP ! ! So yep. That's all I'm pondering. :3 Ouch my head hurts. Imma go to bed early. 'Night all. n_n

I've only been here a couple months now, so I'm not sure if I qualify to have a say in this, but I've seen some of the things that have occurred over the last year. Seems like this sites had it's ups and downs, but what place doesn't? In fact, alot has occurred at this site before I joined (that's why I was late, because I thought I missed to much to become an accepted member or not) I guess it worked out though, as I've made a couple friends here so far.
So, in retrospect, I have yet to be here long enough to make a real reminiscence, but my say here so far's helped me improve my art (at least I think.) Though I wasn't really that important of a member until after I got that RPG of mine launched and really started making friends.
I've probably said too much. Anyway, it's been a nice stay here so far. Hope things continues to stay good.

I was quite the idiot my first week here. (At least I think so.) =P I don't even like looking at some of my old posts. My art hasn't improved a whole lot; I rarely draw as it is. I've made some friends in the half-year that I've been here. Overall, I don't regret joining this place. (Especially because this is my homepage. XD)

Ive only been here for a month and look at me! i have a wonderful girlfriend (Yoshifrog) i know some good people and ive made hundreds of posts like Enrique said i will never regret joining this place

Oh boy, made too many friends to name here. Countless memories - especially with you oldies and classics.  If you didn't know who you were, that would be Teh, Graedius, Anjil, Yoshiken, Koshizu, Frog, Lazoshi, Pink, Digi, and more.. just way too many to name. The memories from the beginning will always be cherished.. you guys are the best. ;D Also, I've made friends that are new to the board as well, Toshigau and Leoshi being some of them. I'm a very social person and I love to meet new people, so IM me if you're not a noob and you know your basic spelling and grammar - that's all I ask, lmao. As for my art, this place has helped me grow so much. Let's dig out my first picture..  OHMYGAWD, it burns! *twitches* Haha, I've come a long way since then, as you can see. This place has really inspired me to draw and kept my love for art as well as Yoshi alive. And plus, it helped me make a website. Double-scoop ice cream So I thank yall, and here's to another prosperous year at Yoshi's Corner! 2006, here we come, baby. ;D |

oh man, i was the second member on this board, i cant name all the friends I have made XD. I wish that i could go back to those days too, the board was so active, and so much more funner (dont get me wrong, its still heckuva fun...but back then, it was phenomenal)
I remember my first picture that i posted XD, i actually still like that piece for some reason XD. There are some stuff on this board that i will never remember and that i wish could be brought back. These include the "feminization" of Yoshiken, the anti-Yoshiken club thing (except for those annoying sigs XD", all them awesome topics, etc.
and the greatest memory! is meeting my love, Angela!! we have sticked by eachothers side for so long, enduring the best of times and the worst of times, and i have no doubt that we will stay together forever.
This board has practically made up my life, and i hope it to always stay that way XD.

I never was the most active member here. I've been around for almost a year now, and I've almost achieved 113 posts. Despite that, I've been here none-the-less -- just mostly lurking. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! Looking back on my old posts, I can see my writing style has changed considerably. Doesn't sound as noobish, at least to me. I guess my memory's a bit... Bad, in that case.  ; Moving on, I see the banner I did for Blood a very long time ago. And I cherish every single one of them, for all the good memories and bad memories. Through all of them, I've come to appreciate friendship more than I used to, my personality has drastically developed, and I've come to feel love. So sue me if the last point was corny. Aww, I love reminiscing about the YC, especially when I go and look at my old pictures. This was the first message board I'd ever registered to, as a matter of fact. Ew, but I do wish to forget all the grammar and spelling errors I always did, but never minded. XD Harhar, I remember the first picture I'd ever posted here. That Boshi picture. XD I also remember all the RP and chat-inspired pictures that I constantly made back then. Oh yes! And also my "Notebook" pictures. Back when I didn't have a scanner and had to use my camera phone. XD Those were so fun to draw. Also, the Yoshiken "Feminization." That was so hilarious. XD Yee, those AIM chatrooms with Yoshiken, Nightcroshi (now Tempest), teh yoshi, Graedius, Digi, F-15, Tim, Joshi, and sometimes a few others were the greatest. Hehe, I miss all of our antics. I wish we could bring all of that back. But it seems impossible with everyone's busy schedule nowadays. And, of course, I can't forget my greatest memory: finding my Kurtis! Hehe, I'll never forget all the chats we had before we were officially together. XD We've grown so much closer over the almost two years we've been at this message board. Because of this message board, we'll now have a wonderful future together forever. I love you so much, Kurtis! This board has pretty much shaped my life. It's a very rare occurance, I'm sure. I'm very grateful to have joined this board. |

Heh, indeed, like Anjil I remember all the neat stuff we did, hehe... all the weird little RPs we'd get into and all the strange pictures that would come out as a result of it. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! I remember everyone's firsts, (pictures) and everything, hehe.... all too muh has come out of it for me, hehe. I think I got the best deal out of anyone here -- I'm quite confident. Despite the loss of my hand-eye coordination, I'm still pretty talented at painting words onto grains of rice. 2005 was a wonderful year to me, and it's almost impossible to think of what came through such an obscure, relatively unimportant forum about Yoshi. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! !

YC in the past? Hmmm...depends how far back past is. I remember joining and posting my first picture (too lazy to dig out from disc), complete with my comments having an emote every three words. Urgh. I call that the 'Neopet stage' I was in. It was daunting at first, but after meeting such nice people here, I felt very welcomed. It was cool to be accepted on a board when you were nervous of simply not fitting in.
I don't think much has happened as of late for me here, I'm not as active as I once felt I needed to be and I don't really socialize with any 'Yoshi' people anymore. But it was a nice time while it lasted.

Hmm. I seem to recall my first posts starting a flamewar of sorts over screenshots of Smash Bros Melee, and the "maturity" thereof... Good to know things have improved since then  Nowhere near as active as I used to be 18 months ago (is it that long?) but then again, there hasn't been a whole lot of topics that I wanted to reply to, so that point is moot. I pretty much slowed down to a halt from drawing, too. Don't ask me to post old stuff, because I hate it and long since hidden it away  Although I still enjoy churning out the odd picture now and again, just other factors prevent me from doing it thesedays. I still see myself hiding away in the background here for a while yet, so I can still pretty puppy about people with huge sigs >_> |

I am not so long registerd on YC almost a half year, but my art has been changed really much since then, I loved to see other artist's works, and I tryed to improve, and it worked...I still need to find the first Yoshi picture I ever drawed. *digs in my room*
I have met friends on this board, who made my year even better then the years before I joined this forum Double-scoop ice cream
when I just joined this board, I was acting not really....smart XD
I posted short comments because I didn't knew what to say yet, you guys were all new for me XD

well, as 4 myself so is this a lil' hard section 2 release ñ talk 'bout great memories compared as the ol' members dué o'v my lack posting and muzzshos inactivity. Even under the timezzay when I begun the new school as say were I even so near 2 leave the boarder dependin on má new direction 2 concentrate on má studys. =/. I already had my best on-line contactzzies which as schanx 4 this wonderful boardá helped me 2 know more from em' and their personalities. Though, none of em' my nearest pepz as i'm talkin 'bout is no longer here anymore and zum' o'v em' will nevá come back either. (Known as Aniki, Joshi, Amanda(angela-samshi), Reshi and Cherry Blossom of curz) I can't say with an' straightie opinion that it only depends on that cuz I were quite lazy /or maybe still are) 2 follow all upcomin' topics from thá forums. DOÁ S: But as ya'll would know so am I currently more a chattingguy then a social forumposter indeed. Mostly do I have a big interest 4 seeing tha´z art ñ give my opinionzzies instead o'v discussions on threads. Heh', well, that's jus' me.~ But as 4 stable friendship so DO I still have greatzzie ones that I nevá wan't 2 loose touch with (Graedius, Temps >=D, Strangey and Norby). U are all great pplz dat' I rely on. But yeah, as say, I would've count even more if I had energy 2 cuz I know everyone have their own joy 2 share me somehow. U all rocks. |
