I need more background information. I need to know:
-Your operating system -Your internet connection type -Your network's topology (How many computers are connected to your network? What are they connected to: switch, router, modem? Can you use the internet on those? etc. etc.) -Any changes you made to your computer since your connection stopped working

Maybe your firewall is set to block all information as it may be harmful? A friend of mine had an issue like that... It blocked incoming data from FFXI because it considered it foreign and harmful.

Did you try reinstalling your Internet Service and did you set your Internet Serivice numbers to work with that modem? Do you have a visur that's infecting that particular modem or deleted a virus that was? Did you try reinstalling the modem?

What do you get when you try to access a website? What does the status bar display when you try? How long does it take for the error message to appear?

Can you check your router (maybe it needs a restart). Do you use a NIC or is it built into the motherboard? (Maybe it needs to be reseated if it's possibly come loose.)
