We had a 3 strike system that didn't work. Members kept breaking the rules anyway, and when they broke a rule for the 3rd time and got banned rightfully so, everyone was mad. Why? Well I don't know. I would suppose most of the other users cared more about their own friends than for the peace of the board. Meaning, they thought that if it didn't affect them, then it shouldn't be done. And that is a very selfish thought, it means they don't care about other user's problems in the board. This is why I resorted to 'totalitarianism'. What do you say about this?

i say you gave them there 3 warnings because they had their opinions and you didn't like it thats why everyone is mad!  including me! and that 15 and older forum got me even more angry!!!! |

Actually, now that i think about it, that section was the source of all these arguments. I mean, the protests, the supporters, the powerful, the powerless, all crammed together and turned this board into a nasty dispute. That section was just one cause of the arguments because of the protests it caused.

Joshi, I will NEVER be able to solve this problem all by myself. This problem requires everyone's input. I want you all to read this entire thread (if you haven't already) and then post your doubts and questions about what bothers you about all this. As I said, I won't ban users for a while. Please try to be polite and calm when you write your opinions, calmness is critical here. If you just blame it entirely on me and think it's all my fault then you're not discussing, you're attacking. So please, be careful. I see dancingyoshi is not listening to this.
I think you missed something, please read it again. The strike system DID NOT WORK.

He was saying things he shouldn't via IM, things that were skewed to harm me, and that were only going to cause more problems in the board. Needless to say, he came here because at heart he wanted to cause more problems. He's never liked me, so I'm not surprised of what he did. I've been watching him ever since he joined. I would have allowed him to be here if he had come in peace, but some people never change.

That is wrong, you should not ban new members, regardless of their history. IM has nothing to do with Yoshi's Corner therefore whatever is said on IM cannot affect him as a member. Please reconsider. Banning memebers is just going to anger more and more of your members. It is an unreasonable way to handle these types of situations.

Joshi, your reasoning hasn't changed. Don't you care at all about me? I mean, are users supposed to attack each other through IM like that? That doesn't sound right at all. Think about what you're saying. You're saying I have no feelings that can be hurt.

well i guess i will state my opinion and hopefully not get banned
your probly all right except dancing yoshi some kids (like myself) do say kinda stupid posts that make no sence some times and we can also be annoying
but anyway i think that yoshi is doing a half right half wrong job
he is banning every1 who breaks 3 rules or gets 3 warrnings but what if that person got a warning when he wasnt on and got another one and another one when he wasnt on therefor he would be banned not knowing it
i think we should all pitch in our ideas and talk to nightcroshi te yoshi joshi and greadias(cant spell sorry) we are all being very selfish in the government they ussully do whats right like taxes to pay for accidents and innsureance except bush...but thats a different story
but arrguing and flamming are agaisnt the rules and thats bannable but on the other hand we wouldnt have started flamming if it wasnt for yoshi soul
BUT on the other hand if it wasnt to the stupid people that break the rules in the first place then yoshi soul wouldnt make new rules and the flamming wouldnt happen so there would be no banning
I BLAME THOSE NUAGHTY RULE BREAKERS they started it all joshi is kind greadies is smart teh yoshi is funny and nightcroshi is an artist i doubt they would have done anything unless some1 else {NUAGHT RULE BREAKErS} started it
that is just stating an opinion for an 11 year old yoshi/kirby fan
and yoshi soul is not a twig he is a humen being not a yoshi and hes trying to boost his authority wich isnt fair to anyone so he can clean the boards but other people think what he is doing is wrong i think both yoshi soul and every1 else has the right idea and we should not fight about wich is better but instead comprimise to find equal grounds
