I found this really nifty program called TerraGen which allows you to create nigh-photorealistic 3D scenes in a rediculously simple way in a very short period of time (Minus rendering time.) I made this image in probably 45 seconds! You can change textures, colors, sizes, brightness, reflections, radiosity, antialiasing, quality, sun's direction, camera's hight and view, atomspheric hue, the color of a sunset situation, even real setting situations like the corona of the sun. Go here: www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/It's free, it's sweet, it's neat, and it can make julienne fries.

Wow, how did you find it? Was it just randomly or an add or what?

It looks like what Eternity uses to make his landscape pictures.
...You can do that a little less effectively with pastels :<

Something tells me you'd love Bryce 5. Not free though, but worth the licence cost. Used it to complete my Featured deviation on my dA page, if you want to see what it's capable of.
Terragen is pretty cool though. I use it rarely, if I can't get the right sorta landscape using Bryce's Terrain modeller.

Oh, but it can be free. :3~~~~~~~~ Yeah, I've heard a lot about Bryce and how Terragen is a smaller, weaker version of it, basically. Just felt like brinigng this to anyone's attention because it ereally has al ot of neatness potential for being entirely free :o Also it's fun to be like, "Mom, look what I made!" More or less, lok at the variables I ordered and changed as I saw fit. ;3
