Okay! This is the third Yoshi's Corner Tourney I've done so far, and this time, for a change, the game is NOT going to be played on an emulator. Nope! We're moving on up to... THE NINTENDO DS!!! The name of the game is Mario Kart DS. The only things you need are... - A DS. - Mario Kart DS cartridge - WiFi capabilities (you probably need either a router or a USB Adapter for the DS to do this.) Now, sign ups... I'll give a week before I start official sign ups. That way you can make sure you can sign up at the earliest possible time. Of course, not like people are going to rush anyway, seeing as I only got 3 people to sign up last time before I had to start bribing...Speaking of bribing, I haven't decided on a prize yet. Or if I'll have one. I kinda wanna see if I can get Coral to make something for the winner again but I don't really have anything to give her as payment, so I'm kinda screwed. XD Besides, you people should try playing for fun for once. D: Isn't that what video games are about, anyway? Fun? D: Anyhoo... UPDATE - SIGN UPS HAVE BEGUN! I'll make a new topic for that so I can keep track easier of who's in. This topic will be left stickied for about a day so everyone can see, then a mod can unsticky it if I don't get to it before. Mootggestion - Nintendo DS Friend Codes. Enjoy.

Thanks for the offer, but I use a site that helps me set up the tourney brackets. The offer is appreciated, though.

Man, the sign-up date's the first day of school for me D= Guess I'll have to rush back after classes since I personally wanna take part on this =D
One-on-one single elimination tournament, right? Or will it be different? =O

Depends on how many people sign up, though I don't expect a whole lot (as usual) so probably single elimination one on one, unless I see an influx of users suddenly wanting to do 3-way or 4-way races for some reason.

Hm, I'd love to participate, but I've got no WiFi at home.
I wonder if it'd be conceivable to coordinate playing my matches at a McDonalds...?

Ummm... XD I suppose you can try that. I'd try getting a USB adapter, though, instead of trying to wing it at McDonalds.

Yeh, I was thinking that, but I REALLY don't trust the connection I've got here. It has a hard enough time maintaining WIRED fidelity. I doubt very much that it'd be able to stay connected for the time duration - and speed - required for a Mario Kart match.
It's just an awful connection.

When does the contest actually start? I don't want to be out of town when you guys start :< If my Wi-Fi decides to work (lightning might have done the connector part on my computer in), I'm definitely joining, at least.

I'm usually very leniant with people when it comes to doing their matches, so you'll have plenty of lee way to pick a date and time after everything gets under way.
