Welcome... to the hurricane season 2007, which willl mainly occur on some South-Easern States on the coastal line, or over the states, as well as Mexico to western states along the coastal line. sadly I couldn't start the session last year, due to my lack of existance. But now this year, I will now give you latest news as I'll be the storm tracker! When I watch the weather channel, or Ch 7 News, here is where it comes to notify you. Now then, let us go on. Reports that SubTropical Storm is fewer away from the east coast states, and may arrive on land, but in a weak state, so it may arrive over the weekends, according to Ch 7 News Weather Station:

Actually, nothing bad has happened right now. Unfortunately, it's now a tropical depression, however, from Naples of the continuous Haze still spreading towards east, causing to create a blanket of smoke that blocks out the sun, until the fire situation is controlled. However, the wind from tropical depression was causing the spread of the Haze to my location. I can smell it, but not too much. People who live down here, I advise for those of you people who have breathing, or any health problems are to stay indoors and turn on your air conditioner. But for those who are fine can continue your outdoor activity, until further instructions is advised. Stay tuned.

I haven't really felt the effects of any tropical storms yet, but the smoke sucks. No one could breathe on Friday, and it gave me a really bad headache and made me dizzy for three hours. -_-

Well, for my long absence, there hasn't been much developements, but now there is. There are 2 developements I'm tracking right now. Ok, there is one developement close to Gulf of Mexico, which is currently a tropical depression. And the other is out in the Atlantic Ocean, which is tropical depression, and will be a named storm, traveling west right now, expecting to be a hurricane in the next 5 days. No map at this time, but will check in soon. Stay tuned.

Tropical Storm Erin:
Erin, named a tropical storm this morning, is expected to make landfall tomorrow (Aug 16) morning on the coasts of Texas. The NHC projects Erin to make landfall with maximum sustained winds at 45 knots, or approx. 51 mph.
The major issue could be the rain that may occur upon rainfall. Texas has been devastated with floods recently, and the region has already exceeded local annual averages for rainfall.
Tropical Storm Dean:
Dean is expected to reach hurricane status within 36 hours, and major hurricane status within 4 days. Dean is also about 2 days way from the Lesser Antilles, and is expected to reach hurricane status before it reaches the Caribbean. From the 15/1500Z forecast, it still remains to be seen whether Dean will directly impact the U.S., but it does not seem good if it eventually does.

I'm probably going to keep an eye on this. Should be on the news sometime... I live in Tennessee, so no problem here. But I hope the people who live where Hurricane Dean is heading will be okay.

Hurricane Dean @ 16/2100Z:
Dean has been upgraded to category 2 status. Within the next 24 to 36 hours, Dean is expected to major hurricane/category 3 status. NHC predicts Dean to reach its maximum sustained winds, 120 knots (approx. 138 mph), in 96 hours; category 4 status in 72 hours. Dean is expected to be over the western extreme of Cuba at maximum intensity. After 96 hours, Dean is expected to weaken back to category 2 status. However, it would re-enter open waters (Gulf of Mexico), meaning a potential to re-strengthen before landfall on the continent.

DOUBLE POST FOR IMPORTANT UPDATE
Hurricane Dean (Category 4) at 18/0000Z:
At 18/0000Z (17th Aug, 8PM EDT), Dean was upgraded to Category 4 status. Also, at that time, the eye started to form at the center of circulation, basically meaning that the storm is strengthening.
At the 17/2100Z forecast, Dean is expected to reach Jamaica at its most intense point, with maximum sustained winds of approx. 150 mph (still Category 4) on Sunday. It's projected to weaken as it passes the Yucatan peninsula; however, it is also projected to hit Texas about Tuesday night or so (such long range forecasts are not exactly accurate) as a Category 3 storm.
Just what Texas needs. More rainfall and flooding and whatnot after Erin pushed a good number of areas to 25-30 inches above annual rainfall amounts.
Addendum: Even though NHC hasn't had any mention of such, personally, it wouldn't surprise me if Dean eventually upgraded to Category 5 status in another day or two.
Bonus Addendum: Dean intensified from max. sust. winds of 135 mph to 145 mph in 1 hour, from 0000Z to 0100Z.

Update for Tropical Depression Six:
The first advisory on TD Six was issued at 31/2100Z near smack between Barbados and Tobago. At the 31/2100Z forecast, the tropical depression is forecasted to become a hurricane, probably Category 2 at peak intensity. When it becomes better organized, it'll take a very similar path that Dean took, except slightly to the south a little.
Next name in line for the storm: Felix.
