I have no clue really. It's just been happening for a long time, and I thought it was a rule. I mean, I have seen topics get locked due to month old bumpage, but...I dunno. It's up to the Admins and Mods (And you're a Admin...why did I never realize that? O.o)

Well, just to let you know, there's actually no rule against bumping old topics. It's been like that ever since Soul left these boards, but people still think it's against the rules because of Timyoshi's ancient ruleset before we borrowed Koshizu's (currently in use), so it really became an oral decorum rather than a rule written in stone.
Anyhow, I see that it's okay to bump old topics as long as they have something of value to contribute to the topic at hand. We wouldn't want to limit any of our activity and subjects to talk about, no?
Also, there's no rule against going off topic, either, heh. I've seen it happen countless of times, and there's no changing that anytime soon, either.
