Phobia

Well... it's kinda like the "What do you fear?" thread, but phobias are different... like an extreame fear or illogical fear.

Alarm clocks. The effing alarm clocks. Some know the story, some do not. You shall not. There is no [insertword]phobia of alarm clocks so I guess that makes me weird.

I'm claustraphobic. Can't breathe in crowds. And people are smelly in crowds.

I sadly have eisoptrophobia, the fear of mirrors. And my room is full of mirrors. I just fear seeing something that shouldn't be there. It's stupid, but hey, whatever.

I have agyrophobia. Can't cross streets without running like a madwoman. I guess it's like a fear of cars or something too, I guess.

I have a fear of being touched. Haphephobia. Ask my friends. Someone touches me, I punch them in the gut or neck. Like some weird reflex.

I guess those are my 'phobias'.

I still find it weird Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is the fear of long words. Yeah, that kinda inspired this.

What's the word for "fear of bugs"? I know there's arachnaphobia, but that's just for spiders and crabs. Which I have.

Barbie dolls. A few of you heard that story.
Actually, I can't stand almost any kind of humanoid doll.

Getting in the way or being a burden are two others. I tend to try and stay in the background in most things unless I know I can't make the person mad.

What he said. Though, the major ones that bug me is Bees, Spiders, Wasps, Hornets, Yellow Jackets, Beetles, Roaches, Termites, Fleas, Fire Ants, and anything in those categories.

Theres a lot of things I fear.
-Anything that harms or could harm me.
-Getting stuck, I completely flip out.
-Dealing with dead humans or other animals. (Includes autopsy.)
-Saying 'no' to people. My friends call me the nicest guy on the internet.
-Fearing throwing up in public. I guess we can include fear of my self image too Despite the loss of my hand-eye coordination, I'm still pretty talented at painting words onto grains of rice.;.
-Fear of going deeply under water.
-Fear I'm going to lose the love of my life to something I say or to her cheating on me and getting bored of me.

Theres probably more that I can't think of at the moment. >,<

Necrophobia - Fear of death or dead things.

Brontophobia - Fear of thunder and lightning.

Entomophobia - Fear of insects.

For some reason, I cannot stand slugs, snails, worms, and centipedes/caterpillars. Any insect that's slimy or long in length. However, spiders never phased me.

I also cannot stand anything that's gory and extremely violent, yet watching surgical procedures is totally fine for me. I guess when it's considered harm and pain to the person, I'd be grossed out, but if it's something under control, such as surgery, then I am okay.

Hmm.. I hate surprises. But I can usually keep myself composed even if something does surprise me, but if it's someone .. I might just punch them in the face.

I dislike hugs. They're not fun. Especially since I get hugged just so people can bother me. I'm not sure it's a fear.. But I just don't like it. >.>

Pitch black places too, as long as I can still see a little, I'm good.

I'm also with the mirror thing. I always think I'm going to see someone behind me, but I also like mirrors for the exact reason that I could see someone coming up behind me. I'm weird like that.

Spiders. Deathly afraid of spiders. And snakes. Also, the dark. Hey, you never know what's out there if you can't see. Perhaps I'm just paranoid XD.

Oh yeah, and I can't stand overly gory scenes. Funny, because I love Shin Megami Tensei.

Spiders.. anything bigger than a money spider I can't handle. And bugs.. particularly ones that sting and moths.
I also have slight agoraphobia.

Automatonophobia- Fear of ventriloquist's dummies, animatronic creatures, wax statues - anything that falsly represents a sentient being.
Yeah. I finally found the word to that. Mainly because I walked in my parents room when I was 3 and they were watching something with a dummy coming to life... emotionally scarred me. Seriously. I'm one likes scary things, infact it's a passion, but things liek that are engraved in my head thinking it could come to life or something.

Cleisiophobia- Fear of being locked in an enclosed place.
I guess that has to do with my claustrophobia. But if I were ever locked in my room, it makes me feel, well, trapped. Happened when I was little. :<

I'm very scared of certain insects, like millipedes, centipedes, roaches, and large beetles. But most other bugs I'm able to handle or just don't phase me. It's weird.

I'm also terrified of handling guns. I can never help imagining myself fumbling and then shooting myself in the neck or something. D:

I'm very afraid of hights too ._. I gotta teh scared on a Ferris Wheel I've been trying to like... get used to being up high, by riding tall roller coasters and such... but it doesn't work LEVEL UP ! !

So many people who are scared of insects! I love them<3 Wish I could help you guys out with that phobia!

I have a few embarassing phobias, but nothing really weird I guess. XD

I am HORRIBLY phobic of needles. I went to the doctor two weeks ago feeling like I was going to die, and when they told me I'd have to get an IV I broke down crying and tried to leave. .... they gave me medication instead since they didn't want to put up with me. ;;;

I can not be confined in an empty room, especially if there are no windows. I freak out really bad, and have actually hurt myself in the past trying to escape when I was locked in a closet by a lovely older brother.

And partly a good reason to the above, I'm completely phobic of the dark. Or not so much the dark as I am of something being in the dark that I can't see (if that makes sense). I dislike mirrors, too, because I'm afraid of something being reflected that shouldn't be. ... I'm mostly phobic of ghosts... I can walk into a dark room and be fine, but suddenly I freak out when I think something might be standing right in front of me and I can't tell (oh god I'm already feeling cold from that idea).

Then there's the usual "I don't like to disappoint people" thing. I can't stand it when I've angered someone or disappointed them, I try to avoid it at all costs and this has started many fights with all of my friends and family at one point or another. XD; I have a bad habit of lying so people won't be angry or disappointed. ._. Very bad habit! Not sure if it's a phobia, but it sure seems like one.

Oh and my unusual XD I can't stand near my car, I usually jump in, because I'm afraid of someone hiding under my car waiting to slash my Achilles tendons with a knife. Odd phobia, right? XD
