We all know that people here like video games. Or at least they should, considering what this place is. But I've been wondering, what kinds of other things do you do to pass the time? Hobbies that aren't video games.
When not laboring over textbooks the size of dictionaries I distract myself from the tedium of ancient philosophy through Warhammer 40k. A tabletop game set in the "grim darkness of the far future." Get figures, build them, paint them, then fight them. Just the kind of game for a violent dinosaur like myself - complete with artillery that regularly slaughters entire squads of enemy troops with its opening shot.

I like to build puzzles, even if I haven't had time to as of late. And I have starcharts and a wall in my room that looks like space. So many starcharts. And I have this odd thing of collecting packets and small objects I recieve. They end up sitting on my dresser, but I still keep dozens upon dozens of old things that don't mean anything to anyone else except me. Mostly I just doodle and write every now and then these days, though.

I'm very involved in TCGs (Trading card games), namely Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh (That's right, I play Yugioh. D=<). Really enjoyable, lots of strategy, great opportunity to have fun and be nerdy with other people.

I believe I've been involved in game design for about eight or so years. It started out with Klik & Play and I eventually moved up to newer versions of the product, dabbled in Game Maker a bit, and now am working on learning C. chaos.foxmage.com/AkuKitsune/RotatingLizzies.pngWhenever I feel like it, I do a bit of pixel-art, too. And I mean the kind that's done from scratch, not edited from an existing piece. Though, I should probably do art more often. Practice is never a bad thing.

My main hobby is playing video games, but even I've been seen doing other things, which is strange, but that's another story.
Honestly, I've been known to study Norse mythology, astrology, and about foxes of all kinds. I also tinker with HTML and markup languages here and there, and used to be an accomplished programmer. I quickly learned that wasn't for me though.

Play the piano, gettin' mah Wiki on, learn some languages, and very rarely I'd do origami, as that was an old favorite hobby of mine.

Most of my hobbies involve watching football, hockey (mainly just the Sabres; thx Versus, DirecTV), MythBusters, and even on occasion The Weather Channel. My conlanging hobby has been hindered to more of an afterthought (thanks a lot ACE English, ASR, Spanish V, etc.); however, I still am trying to work at that.

This is weird, but I study dreams in my spare time and take notes. And I do it for fun. I wish we would study dreams at school. Recently I've been reading about lucid dreaming and even psychosis in dreams. ... I like to draw too. But I also draw still life, abstract, nature, portraits, cartoons, and most art you can think of. Because I rule like that.

That's right, I play Yugioh. D=< YOU TRIGGERED MY PLOT ADVANCEMENT TRAP CARD Mostly these days apart from playing the vidya I've been pouring hours into background information and designing characters for a comic project I'll get off the ground one of these days. Problem is I'm such a perfectionist with it I keep retconning things I've already written to make them better than i end up having to edit the rest of it. Also editing out everything that was an accidental - yet horrific - reference to Kingdom Hearts 2 took a good chunk of time up :[ Apart from that I've been getting through watching a huge pile of DVDs that never seems to get any smaller, mainly because I keep buying news ones.

Two words: Piano Composition.
I enjoy writing my own music to play at concert halls or randomly in Costco where they have a playable keyboard to offer. XD
Art and novel writing are also some time occupiers. And when I'm not doing that, it's either learning Thai, sleeping, movies, school, or internet stuff.

I like walking into random people's houses and asking for information. When asked why I'm there I declare that RPG characters are always doing it and I don't see any reason why I can't.
Apart from that I don't get up to much. Video games are it really, apart from sleep and food.

I like to aggravate my two pit bulls, then try and run away from them.
It hurts sometimes.

Other than video games, I enjoy drawing Yoshis even though I'm not really an artist. I'm also interested in Warhammer Fantasy, have my own Lizard Men army, but know little to nothing of how to actually play. I also am a big fan of MTG. =3

Other other hobbies.. Erm.. I love doodling, of course. My addiction right now is the Sutaro Sketcher Oekaki boards. Every now and then I'll practice some video game(Err.. >_>; piano compositions, my current is Together We Ride(SSBM ver.). =D Well, let's see.. anything else.. I'm actually writing up this small story idea called CrossFire. Honestly, I plan for it to become a web comic, but I'm just writing it in story form first. I also watch myself some random anime series and read manga every now and then. ~(=o=~)

Hmm, what do I do to pass time? Well Now that I have a dvr I catch up on watching the tele, I often rp on im with a friend, I call up one of my other friends at work whole he's on lunch to plan when we can hang out and tell him he's a twit. I also like poking around the we and Yoshi's Corner.
Lately I been working like mad on my websites gallery and im proud to say it's nearly done. Making those pages was a bloody nightmare. Finally at rare times I will actually draw something, though head shots are mainly what I do casue they don't take any time to complete.
*edit* fixed some stuff I didn't notice the 1st time I goofed on and theres anohter thing I do hehe

There's lots of stuff I do.
Which I can sum up in a sentence.
Talk to Contention.
Hm.
I'm not incredibly exciting. But that is the focal point of my day, usually. Beyond that, I do stuff like draw, and write, and think about story ideas and the like. I do occasionally role play on boards and such, although not that often. I have high standards and stuff. I'll also talk to people on the phone or on IM and stuff, and sometimes I'll hang out with my offline friends.
People watching?
That's pretty much it.

OTHER THAN VIDEO GAMES? IS THERE SUCH A THING?
In all seriousness, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, photography, drawing swords, learning about my affinities, (star signs, chinese zodiac, elements, the like; in case you want to know, Sagittarius, horse, and fire) , and swordfighting, just getting together with friends and battling them. Fun.

I enjoy playing musical instruments. I can play guitar, bass, some percussion, trumpet (and other brass), ocorina, melodica but I spend hours on end playing my guitar. I'm also a song writer (with a major block as far as lyrics go). I like listening to music as well, and I tend to have a CD playing when I don't have my guitar out.
