It has recently come to attention that some members on the Yoshi's Corner have had the habit to return to the forum under the sign of a new title. While this is alright, and the main nickname on the forum can be changed, it should be considered that when you return to the Yoshi's Corner you do not need to create a new account. Of course, if its your first ever, feel free to join the community. However, if you have been away for any point in time you do not need to reconstruct a fresh identity. The members at the Yoshi's Corner will remember you for who you are. Even if you believe you were "n00bish" when you first arrived, creating a new account does not change the person that you are. It just allows you to mimic actions under a new outlook. Therefore, if you happen to take a leave from the YC, be it short or long, when you return do not take the time to establish a new account and name. Doing this only takes up space, which might not seem important, but it can also be hard to track members in that manner. If you do happen to come back, try your best to enter through your old account. An account does not carry the scars and mistakes that you make when you go somewhere. You aren't hated for your online persona, if you're hated at all it would be for the actions that were commited. Forgiveness is everywhere, but it's not always in the form of a new identity. If you want to prove to people that you're more mature and diffrent, come back as you were and show them what you're capable of.
Furthermore, if you can not remember the password to your old account, you can always take the time to contact the Mods and Admin to see if they can aid you in any sort of way. They will not let your account die, and if by chance something is wrong with it, they will do what is needed to make sure you can easily access it to and fro. As well, there is always the function for "lost password" when an account is having issues being signed into. If that ever occurs, click the button, and it should send you information to your "current" email adress. Of course, this only works if you can remember the email adress that you placed within your account information. If, in some manner it to has been displaced, this may be the time when it would be wise to inform the staff. Now this all may seem more hectic than making a new account, and if things do turn worse for worse then you might have to. However, do not come back to the Yoshi's Corner with the intention to create a new account, especially if you recall the password to your old one. It's like taking two of something when you only need one. It's wasteful and it can create conflict. An account is merely an account, what happens to you in that account does not inflict the name. It inflicts who you are and what you are. You can create thousands of accounts, and still be the exact same person. So, if you do leave and come back to the YC, you might change during that time period. This does not mean that the account you make should change. If you go by a diffrent online persona, feel free to change your usertitle. Besides, all your "progress" is left in your old account, starting over would only cause a whole new running.
Now, if you already perchance happen to have done this action then don't worry. There is no penalty for it, and there is nothing against it. It's just that at times, it can take up space and be useless. For future refrence try to avoid it, don't fall into it. When you come back to the board, log into your old account. If you've changed, you don't need to create a new comers thread to tell the people that. Show them that you've become a better person by acting like a better person. There was a quote once somewhere, that mentioned, "The person who says they are mature, likely fall farthest from the word". So if you do return to the YC, come back in and prove to everyone all of the things you learned and done to become who you are.
(Also, if you ever leave, don't delete your account if you have any doubts if you'll come back or not. Unless you're sure, leave it there. You never know when the day may come when you want to return to any board you once visited. Besides, every account holds the past, and you never want to forget what things were once like. You'll be amazed at how much you change in a year. And oh, people at the YC definetly love to change!)
