You know something like personal galleries board:
- Personal Galleries
- Scetch Books
something like that, or perhaps it could be a sub forum.
Take this to consentration, please.
I think it would mean alot to me and to the others too.

Well.. I don't even understand what exactly "Personal Galleries," and "Sketch Books" would be -- care to explain more indepth? Although I would think that Yoshi Art/Other Art would cover anything art related right there.

But all you have to do is make one art thread in one of the art forums and post in it everytime you update it.

You mean lie kthe system YAF has? Some people have their own personal galleries on there, including myself =\ As for the sketchbook thing, I don't know about that, it'd be cool if we had something like an Okeaki (sp?) board though, though that'll probably be put up when/if we get a YC site up =)

I say leave the site the way it is.
Galleries are YAF's thing, and copying them would be stupid.
Doing galleries would also bring the need for a website where images can be stored under certain names. That is far too much work/time invested in something we already have- an art forum.
Basicly, all the one at YAF serves as is a popular list. The people on the top are the "best".
I find the whole thing to be a way to advertise your work.
Anything unnecessary is not needed at our forum. This is a message board, and nothing else.

And secondly its not copying, since i didnt even know that YAF had an gallery page, I'm never at YAF. (when YoshiArt separated Timyoshi and YA, i came here, becouse all my friends were here. I dont know about YA:s new forums, tho) And my personal idea also was to get something new done. I woulden't want to see these forums looking same old after a year. And this woulden't be advertising for me, since I just need you to rate/complain/give critique and such. I never even thought about it advertising in the first place |

..I just really, really don't think it's neccisary. Have a dA page? Spiffy. Have a personal website? Spiffy. Have an art thread dedicated to all of your art of the forums? Spiffy, yet again. I think that another forum just for something that can be posted in a pre-existing forum just adds to clutter -- doesn't look so hot, makes things more confusing. I just can't see why there's a need for it. The only change in art forums that I can see as being a benefit is to merge Other Art/Yoshi Art; but I suppose that's not entirely needed as enough people submit both sorts of art.
And this is basically a summary of my above posts, but still. That's what I've got to say on zhis subject.

Not necessarily; each time a new picture is added the thread would get bumped to the top. If there was a relatively high rate of picture turnout then there wouldn't be much to worry about.
I don't think that a message board would be the best place to set up a gallery system, as there's only so many threads that could be displayed on a single thread page. People whose galleries wouldn't be as active would get shoved to the back and not have their art viewed as often overall. Galleries could be put in place if there was a site attached to it, and if I remember right then it's a large part of the site pink is working on, Yoshicurio.
