Inspired on a chat with JB on MSN. After he saw my "Giddy-up Toshi" pic, he said "at least it isnt me instead of Takahiro", but the light bulb lit up above my head once he said that, so definately wanted to do this!!! Anyway, even though its a little odd on JB's belly, i hope you still like it!  |

Toshi, I must say, you drew both Yoshies magnificently, plus, the expressions are so sweet! I can't wait to take a look at another one! ;D

Heh.. sorry but that stomach is just so.. not right its disturbing. =/ Otherwise it's not bad. Maybe you could try shading your next picture, just so it has a little more depth. Keep it comin. =]

That looks like something he'd say... Yup. Hehe, groovin' drawing, but it does look quite disturbing at the same time XD. Sorry, but things being sucked into layers of fat isn't all that quite appealing to me XD.

It's disturbing to me as well... Oh god...we aint starting another argument again are we? I guess criticizing art is illegal on this board, that's atleast what SOME people thinks.
If you can't take criticism or opinions on art then I suggest you go to a other board or post it on DA.

Hey, i didnt say a thing about me not liking your criticism, man you have a simple mind! And who said i was complaining? Look back at your comment, and see what i replied to, didnt i say "well thanks for your honesty"? HA, see so i aint complaining AT ALL!!!
But i guess now you got me on my high horse, i'll say this now, for once in my drawing career, i would like to see a few comments from you, even if it is heavy criticism!!! That will be the only way i will learn how to draw better, if someone says something that i should consider improving upon, then i will improve upon it, like you Tempest, i am now shading in my pics because you mentioned that i should do so, same with Darkmark, he said the same thing!
So no Tempest, i aint expecting you to be sarcastic and say all the crap you just said, i can expect to hear things like "good attempt Toshi, but i reckon you should tidy up the feet and make the eyes a bit bigger", comments like that or similar comments i appreciate a lot because then i can see where i went wrong and improve upon it and so improve the way i draw, thats why i have my own rating system, to see if i have, but it seems very clear now that no matter what i do, you are not gonna help me improve, why, because basically it seems you are only bothered about yourselves and your fellow art friends, you dont seem to care about anyone else trying to follow what you lot do and be at the potential you lot have reached, and to finish, i find you guys that are like that quite ignorant to do something like that!
There, are you lot happy now? I've said what i said, and i don't care what you lot think, because i knew for a fact that as soon as i became a member here, nobody was really gonna appreciate my work, and basically, i guess i was right, to be honest, i dont know why i am still drawing...oh wait...i know why, because i have friends at college and on DevArt who at least give me credit for what i do, and really in return here, i'm expecting at least the same from you lot!

Thats why i am here, to get free from all the horrors in the world itself, i hate my family because no one cares about me doing what i do, but i cant stop doing it, its what i love to do! Hmm, interesting drawing. I like.
Shame I caught this thread a little late.
So far, two people have explained why it's disturbing, and three just saying it's disturbing without any reasoning why. Isn't submitting work here about gaining comments from professionals who know their stuff and helping them improve?
Sorry if i'm missing the point but that's what I gathered when I posted up my drawing, hence "Any advice from the pros?".
I feel i'm just wasting my brain power posting this, along with the time I have left on this planet, but it's always good to include your honest feelings towards drawings people submit, as well as any possible improvements which they could cater for next time. Joshi's done exactly that.
Toshi, I see you're exploring the different things you can do with your talent, what different aspects you can take on, and if you're like me, spend a good while on them to get them perfect! Tempest has got it in one too, while i've yet to try it myself, shade it a little. Also, spacing out the ripples of jelly's belly would go quite far into improvement too, as Teh said "Sorry, but things being sucked into layers of fat isn't all that quite appealing to me XD.", it's the thin ripple of the belly that does it.
That's it though. Facial expressions and character pose's are spot on.
Keep it coming. Practice makes perfect! Good comments makes perfect quicker!
