It does look cute.
...but the shading seems a little arbitrary. Since the sun's in the background there, I'd assume the only part of the character that'd be lit would be the edges (the only part we'd see, at least.)
Other than that, it's pretty cool.

The background reminds me of Long Island Sound. I did take a trip there once so maybe it is.
