As you may have seen recently, the increasing influx of flourishing Yoshi artists here is becoming large and fast, with many strong talents from a vast amount of individuals. We admin here are extremely pleased with how the community has handled recent events, and continued posting artwork for others to enjoy. We can only thank you for your patronage at this time.
That said, an increase in artists also means an increase in topics posted. We here at Yoshi's Corner believe that all artists deserve their artwork to be seen, and lately a few pieces of art are either being -
A) Bumped towards the back without comments, or B) The main page is populated with one artists' work
Both of these circumstances are saddening to see, as we all know artwork cannot be made without time, effort and patience. So for now, we are implementing a new rule which may/may not be added to the Rule Set, depending on how well this idea is taken.
From now on, if you are going to post three or more pieces of artwork within one day, you must either edit a current topic of yours or create one thread for them all. This is also being posted and applied to the Other Art section of the forums.
We thank you for your time and reading of this notice.

What if they're all not related?

I have been noticing alot of this too, and I must say that I am also accusing myself of posting more than one pic in a day, I'll slow down and do some modifacations next time. Still, this is a great idea, and realizing this and posting it was a wise decision. People should obey this, and respect it. This section is one of the most important sections on the forum and should be cared for.

What if they're all not related? I think it doesn't really matter if they're all related or not. Just put in a bunch of links then talk about each one under each link.

No, you didn't talk about each link, but what you did was still good, and it would work too.

Ah great idea. I understand what you're getting at. It would awesomely help the way things are kept in order and make this a much cleaner board. I have noticed many picture threads in one day, and sometimes those can push to the back someone who has just posted their own art. It's only fair, I would say that each one gets the same chance to show their art. If they aren't related, just give your thread a title such as "Art for the day" or your art, it doesn't have to be fancy. And as you said, give links to each piece discussing what you'll show. Thats a great thing to do though.

i must say, this sounds like a fantastically well-planned idea. I have also been noticing that many Art pieces have been bumped back too quickly that no one has had a chance to see them.

I can't post links, but can I still put three or more in one thread?
Yes, I entirely agree with this. It's getting too flooded for me to find certain things... Artists that don't post often are getting bumped out.

How so do you mean, Yoshimastar? Like, an old post hasn't been replied to? Or that you'd prefer to add art onto a post after it's been replied to...?

Um, look at my art thread and you'll see.
I can't put up more art without double posting.

You can always edit a current post by using the modify button. I doubt in this case you will be jumped upon by posting more pictures in succession to another...

I agree with you, Koshizu. It is very difficult for someone who's not speaking english every day (speaking a foreign language at least) to read all of the threads that are made. And when you haven't been on for days, it's very boring and difficult to read all of the threads.

Yes, I know this is a huge bump. Sue me.
I'd like to request that when people post their art, that they shrink it down to a more manageable size when displaying the image in the topic, as opposed to a text link where that doesn't really matter as much. All it does it warp the page dimensions...
Many a time I've browsed through the art boards and came across an image 1000pixels or more in width. Sure, with a resolution of 1280x1024 its not so bad, but what about people people that are stuck with 800x600 or some similarly small screensize? More often that not the images are huge in filesize, crushing dialup users while the page loading grinds on forever.
Its not hard to resize an image...
yes I did cross post this, it applies to both the art boards.

I, too, have a sort of request. Ironically, it's about art requests, hur hur. :BPlease try to refrain from making any art requests in other people's art threads, unless otherwise asked for. It leaves the artist under the pressure of accepting the request, even though he/she probably wouldn't want to take it or isn't currently taking requests. We don't want to seem rude and assuming, now do we? If you are desperate for a picture from that one particular artist, PM them about it so you two can discuss it in private, rather than making it a public issue. Same applies for art trades. If you have a request open to anybody, take it to the Art Requests section. That's what it's for, after all. Thank you. This, too, will be cross-posted as it applies to both art boards.
