After receiving a bit of criticism about my anthro yoshi style I decided to try out a few different styles. Keep in mind these aren't permanent (though I'm considering style 2). I was just playing around to see what I could come up with. Style 1. Traditional yoshi style... I found yoshi anatomy very difficult to draw! The round shapes made the inking process very easy though, which was nice. Style 2. A sort of...hybrid between the traditional and anthro styles. Vap gains her boobs back as well as her clothes yet maintains short limbs and a small body. This style was actually cute/fun to draw. A little more difficult than the first because I had to add more detail. What do you guys think? Edit: Here's a picture of my koopa character Jade in Darkland ;D

I prefer the second one, myself I think maybe because the first looks too... "standard"? I don't really know the words for what I mean, heh Its always good when people add their own styles to characters instead of just copying the same style thats already out there, although I'm about ot contradict myself and say there are some artists who can duplicate official styles, if not make them better... So uh, yeah. Number 2. I dunno, a while ago I would have probably preferred the first one but I guess my tastes have changed.

I think the second one is much better. Really I think that drawing the yoshi the regular way is sort of hard and boring. Doing it anthro style is the new thing! I really like the pic. I have no criticism for this one.

Yes I like #2 alot. I definately like this, but the anthro fits your character, Number 2 keeps some of it, which I like. It's okay to draw how you want- I like your art!
Edit: Your new one is cool too. Keep it up! I love how you do those cool, thin outlines o-O Mine are all fat. When my lines are too thin my picture dies.

They're both adorable! But I think the second one looks more orginal. It does have more personality to it. I like the coloring on both of them, by the way. ^^

it looks as if you had suffered drawing the first one - like you drew it as a punsihment. just the attitude of the artist adds a major role to the picture. i like both of them - great job!

Is the second one in relation to your signature pic? I know you said you really like that style, heh. (Winx drew it, right? I do believe I know her)
I actually kinda like the first one...its different, and so many people do anthropomorphic Yoshi, all dolled up in clothes...maybe because I'm jaded on the anthro-Yoshi front, heh. I think they're both nicely drawn though. : D
Jade Koopa looks awesome. I must try to draw her sometime...sexy lizard girls need to be embarassed by my attempts at drawing fanart of them. D:

Is the second one in relation to your signature pic? I know you said you really like that style, heh. The second pic was my attempt without trying to mimic Winx's style (since it's her own and I don't want to steal it or anything) but it does share the same limb-length and a similar nose size. I'm hoping that if I use that style more I can play with it and let it evolve into something more identifiable with myself.

Hehe, agreed with Koshi. I definitely prefer number 1. I'm probably unsure, but it could be due to the expression you gave the first image made it that other people would prefer the happier second style for lack of better words. Too many people do anthropomorphic Yoshis. Hehe, then again, I just love Yoshi the way he is :3.

Picture #1 was referenced from an official yoshi picture where the eyelids were all droopy. I referenced the picture (because I had way too much trouble on my own) and then added Vap's characteristics to it, which is why she looks sad/displeased. I was originally going to add a little thought bubble where she's thinking "I miss my boobs " but I refrained

I was originally going to add a little thought bubble where she's thinking "I miss my boobs " but I refrained ..... *immature giggling* XD Eee I already commented on this twice, but the third time's the charm! XD I think the second is adorable, with some more practice with it you could make it more personal~ It's cute now, though :3 As I said elsewhere, though, I still like your original art style, I hope you plan on keeping it Double-scoop ice cream
