Hey there, good people of YC. =D On top of my Secret Santa picture for Contention, I present... Uhh, I forgot the number, but it's quite a bit of art going by how little I've been drawing lately. Heh.

Anyway, I'll get out a few pictures I did a while ago but never posted. ... At least I don't think I posted 'em... These'll be done in chronological order. Except the last one. But I was saving that for last because it's awesome. It's really second to last, considering Skye's gift was finished after the Pawy picture.

I was looking at Norby's drawing of Blood, and it sort of reminded me I have a pic of Blood Yoshi stored away in my Photobucket account. Considering a few of my mental notes on this picture's meaning, I think that this was done in late October/early November. Betting on late October. I believe I showed this to Blood shortly before some big stuff happened (I still want to talk to you in regards to that, Blood. I just hate silence between people, you know? It doesn't solve anything, in my books...).




Part of a larger picture. Enjoy this little clip-thing. This demonstrates my 'typical' shading style. I just break out the Gradient Shading and Cell Shading for random occaisions. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! Done sometime in November. I think... At least I know the original sketch was started in November. If memory serves me right, I actually just had some troubles on the sketch and left it lying around for a while before taking it up again and finishing the thing.

Okay, MAJOR size warning. This picture is 1000px/3954px and is 1080.84 KB (1106783 bytes). So, in short, it's a huge picture and will probably take a while to load due to its large file size. This was a tutorial for Jim on how to shade. Also his Christmas gift, considering I've done enough (voluntary work, mind you) art for the guy in the past two months. Unfortunately, due to the fact he was unable to use Photoshop, it's fairly useless to him. XD Ah well. Maybe it will be of some use to you folks.

... You can ignore the 'sexy' and 'Lazy Lazo' stuff. XD The former was mostly for comic relief (it was also a combination comedic picture for a very good friend of mine, Skye) and the latter is also comedic relief. But it's also sort of an inside joke.

Christmas gift to my good friend, Skye. Well, best friend, really. It's okayish... Considering I wanted it done in one day, starting today. x.x I had a significantly better gift for her (really cool, too. Her Angel cat character is strangling Lazo with Christmas lights. What fun! ... Also another inside joke) done up to be a wallpaper. But I felt so intimidated by the size of the lineart... So I did this on the spot instead.

You can tell I don't do cell shading too much. But meh. I wanted to do it in cell shading because that's what she usually does on her oekaki art. And it looks awesome on her stuff. Not so much on mine. I think I'll stick with softer shading.

Mirthful Christmas, everyone! So this isn't really a Christmas picture. It was originally going to be Pawy holding a Candy Cane, but that idea soon died. Ah well. I'll do something with candy canes next year... Got it all planned out in my head, actually.

Wow, those are all really great...I adore your colouring style! It seems similar to how many others use it, yet it turns out different...which is a good thing in my opinion.

I love the last one! Truly awesome job on them all.

...only problem being the files and sizes...seeing the tutorial, you use Photoshop CS, yes...? You can resize images easily by going into
Image > Image Size...>Select 'percent' from the drop down menus for width + height, then just fill in the size you want to alter it to.
Also, .pngs are big files...jpegs compress a lot smaller, and you can thankfully adjust the quality when you save as one in CS.

I love the way you shade! That autumn picture of Blood is awesome, almost looks like a metallic sort of shading!

The little clipart thing is cool too - you have a very creative character!

I prefer your normal style of shading to your celshading - in your picture of Skye, I think you overdid it a bit with the cel shading. It still looks nice though!

And that last picture is awesome! I love the pose you drew, - looks like a raptor pose!

Ah, these are good works Pawy! I like your style, and the way you shaded all of these:

The first one is very cute, as is the second, both very nice pics overal.

Now I finally get how you people are shading so incredibly, by using photoshop! In a way, that sort of helps. Now all I have to do is get photoshop (or not, because it's probably to expensive).

Returning to the real topic, your last twp pics are impressive and cut as well! I agree with Tempest on the last pic! So, overal, great work!

Yeee, I've talked with you a lot about your style, but as you know I really love it, the thick, inconsistent definable lines, and the color-responsive shading style, it really always comes out looking something-wonderful, hehe. I'm particularily fond of the last picture there, too. :3~

aww, these are very cute! i gotta admit though, we dont see alot of yoshis with colored under-bellys XD. there all very good. outstanding job well done!
