MINOR NOTE: Meh.. sorry about the inconvenience earlier, just as I post about this here, deviantART went down for "5 minutes" as a result of sudden system maintenance, and it took friggen forever. Oh what wonderful convienience it brought.. not. <_< I've now re-posted this thread, as DA finally got off it's arse and fixed itself, so hopefully it'll stay dat way... Anywhoo, I finally finished working on a preview trailer to my upcoming flash movie project dubbed "The Yoshi Pirates"! It took awhile to make and I'm exhausted from all the work I put into it, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out - I simply cant help but to re-watch my own work come to life over and over... a very rewarding experience, it is. Click the link below, and please read the author's comments just below the thumbnail shown on the page first, as it will give you info on what the flash is about (most people dont know, though a few already do). After you've read it, click on the thumbnail picture to proceed and start watching the flash trailer. IT takes very long to load and the loading is annoying! I'm very sorry about the slow loading times, again it's deviantART's fault >_< just give their server time and it'll be done.. besides, it's not the filesize that's holding the loading back - I compressed it right down to 633kb.. |

 WooW that trailer is cool How much time did you need for that? Thanks.. I spent 3 or 4 days on it.. 5 days at the most. Each scene or section of the flash usually took between 1-4 hours to make each, depending on what the scene is. |

I'm very impressed. I had no inconvenience download it at all, in fact it was fairly quick.
It's a very impressive work of art and I can't wait to see the end result.

I don't see any loading problem... it finished in about 30 seconds.
Anyway, very cool, indeed! I like what I saw, and I think it has great potential.

There wasnt any loading problem for me! It took 5 seconds. Anyhoo, that was funny! The part I laughed the most was when teh swung into the pole. hahaha

Jelly, that is amazing, your animating skills are phenomenal, you have such an artistic talent. I envy your skills, and your work ethics. Working hours on something you really want to do just shows how truly dedicated you are. That is a very good quality. I'm looking forward to this movie, rest assured.  |

Lol.. like the Yoshi Pirates, the rival pirates are based off actual friends I know of, which explains why half of them are typically Sonic fanchars. >_> ..And why one of them has such name as "Hentaiboy" (ugh..) I'm glad you liked dat scene, I personally liked that one a lot too.. I like how I implemented the rain effect and how the music cues right up to the scene is done perfectly if I do say so myself. And it's not too late to start using Flash.. take it from me: the interface may look awfully daunting at first sight, but once you've grasped the basics (which isnt really that hard), then it's a lot easier to use than it looks. I recommend you go to Newgrounds.com and search for "tutorials" in the search box.. you're bound to come across tons of useful helpful interactive flashes that teach you just about all of the basics, and then some smart features such as Masking and altering color alpha and tint.. If I can do it, then you can too!  |
