What's news?
The Core, by the way, was a science fiction movie. It was just saying what could happen. And, it ended up being some old research thing called Destini that stopped the core from rotating, causing the Earth's magnetic poles to move and the ozone layer to thin, causing all the birds to die and Auroras being in those cities. So, this isn't exactly like that movie.

No, actually, Destini was supposed to get the core rotating again. They couldn't figure out exactly what caused the core to just suddenly stop. It didn't launch because the hacker drained all the energy from the launching site.

I think, anyway, that the guy said, "Destini has finally caught up with us,"... they were trying to reverse the effects before everyone on the surface went up in smoke, I thought...

Yeah, they were already going to the core, in the Virgil, when apparantly the people on the surface moderating the core revival got anxious becasue they were taking to long, so they called up to Alaska to tell them to launch Destini. Zemsky wanted them to turn around, but Josh got the hacker to shut down the Destini launch site before they could launch it.

That was the second Destini, the one that only had a small chance of fixing the Core and undoing what the first Destini did. |

i thought the movie was about these people made a machine to use nature against their enemy in war,it screws up and the weather goes incredibly wrong,and the have to go to the core to stop it. i never saw the movie,i just seen commercials

The new tropical storm, Franklin, is going nowhere... fast. It's 185 miles W of Bermuda and is going NE.
There is a tropical storm that left Tokyo, and should be a tropical depression in 24 hours. That's it...

My Grandparents recently moved to the Fort Myers area, and last year had there condo. nearly destroyed. They had to be in a bomb shelter for the vicinity of two days and their rooms are still damaged, the walls had buckled form the water and the wood floors got warped, its very disappointing how all the nice warm beach paradises have downsides too! P.S. I'm from Wisconsin, not too much to worry about here! ~*YC*! |

You know what's scary? Not just Katrina, but look into the future. The historically most destructive month for hurricanes (September) is still ahead of us.
