'Tis a movie I've been working on for a little while, I decided ti try and post a scene:

Alright, alright, I know it's not a full piece, even far from it. It's like: YC meets DA meets Super Mario Sunshine meets Paper Mario. This is only the very first scene in a movie I've been working on. (To know the plot, look beyond the cameo paragraph.) But why only post the first scene?
1: This was for the most, pratice.
2: I want to get some critique before continuing forth.
First things first. I need to give all the credit I need to give to the other members.
This movie (or at least the opening sequence) features: Twi, Toshi, Sirus (from DA), Anjil, Yoshiken, Drake, Hunter and Yoshiko. (bonus points if you can guess where they are) Everyone else I know, don't worry, because I'll include all of my friends in movies ahead of time. These cameos were most for praticing placing multiple targets of focus on the screen. Hm... I never made anything for twi yet, so I put him in there. Toshi already had a premade model from a comic I made already, so it was easy to put him in there too. Anjil's there because I needed to add some variety and add a female yoshi, and she was the first one that came to mind. As for Yoshiken, I actually had planned to put him in one of the last scenes, but I couldn't find a reason in the plot to, so to save time, I just put him with Anjil. Sorry about that, Yoshiken. In the next possible movie, I'll give you a larger role to play. As for Hunter, I have had yet to make you anything, inspite of the fact of you have been pretty awesome. I know it's only for a split second, but I have a completed reference sheet, so I'll be able to include you in more of the action for future movies. I also placed Drake in there, because I have had yet to draw that peticular character. I'm a little dissapointed about how his character turned out, but I'll have him in future scenes, so no worries, I hope. Finally, I wanted to incorperate blooper surfing (for those of you who know Super Mario Sunshine) into the mix. Yoshiko seemed like he wanted to go surfing, so I added him basically doing so. It's hard to tell, though, because he zooms past. I'll work on making the effects better.
Next, there are a total of four piece of giftart that was given to me in this movie as well. The first one is obvious. It was a piece made for me by DN. It ended up looking all JPEG-ish, but whatever, it still looks great! The other three pics visible (but harder to notice and may require a search) are pics of my character done by Coral, Yapi and Yoshipal. All three of their pics are in the windows of my ship, so if you feel like it, maybe you can try and spot them. Do whatever you want, though.
Ok, so on with the actual plot. First of all, sorry about the lame preloader, it's the only one I could figure out how to do. I haven't seen it in action though, so I can only assume and hope that it works. Then it zooms to another title piece, the one made by DN, and a simple test of a title flying in and out, followed by a fade. Then it comes into the opening scene, of my character arriving at isle delphino. The cameos occur durring here as my character passes by various beaches and whatnot. Then he arrives at Delfino Plaza. The reason why he switches boats is because that giant caravel is definetly not going to fit in that small archway.
Effects I have tried this time around are messing around with the lighting (the obvious would be how nightfall comes so fast). Please don't mind that aweful water effects, I have no idea why I did that, so please don't mention those... that's probably the last time I make those effects and have the point of view so close to the water. I also tried making a 3D model, like that house in the very last sequence. I think that pratice turned out alright.
Sound effects used were from Earthbound, Zelda Wind Waker, and Super Mario Sunshine. Music was from OP Movie 4 and 6 OST.
Ok, so that leaves it up to the audience to say their opinions on it. I have been working on it for a week now, so I'd prefer it if everyone was as honest as possible.
