The return of Penguin Yoshi

Well I decided to do some Yoshi art. My character is going to drastically change in time because I really don't care for a penguin Yoshi. Don't get my wrong I still like penguins just not obsessed as I was like in July and before. I might change my name soon so I will keep you guys updated.

BTW here is my art work


I think I screwed up with the background Ill get another one up soon with out it and the hands aren't that great ether. The thing I think I did best was definitely the eyes. Tell me what you like and dislike constructive criticism welcomed.

That background wins.

The head, sword, and pose overall aren't half bad. Not bad at all. I also like the shoes.

But the hands could definitely use some work. And the legs aren't exactly connected to the body, there... Still, the picture is better than your old work, and the shading is pretty nice.

Oh yeah, one more thing. There's a big blob of black behind the far eye. Looks kinda funny.

Thanks for the pointers and I see no black blob if oyu mean the darker color the bluring took it from the area around it. BTW people the sword is supposed to be not shaded.

She means that the skin around the eye shouldn't extend so far, the eye should have hidden it ( if you use your magic mind powers [your brain] you can eliminate it and it looks really much cuter ^^)

Actually, as far as I know, the blob behind the head would be, technically, anatomically correct. See, the black blob above the eyes would be something akin to either eyebrows, eyelids, or, possibly, both. The blob on the back is the yoshi's actual head that isn't part of the eye brow -- the yoshi still has a head where the eyebrow type things would be.

The official yoshi art work has it, too.

EDIT: Wait, wait, wait. I read that really wrong. TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! I'm still going to leave my post here for reference, since it might help people understand what the blob in the back is. Yoshee and others are right on the anatomy there.
