WOW!! That's an awesome idea!! Yes yes yes, please ;D I can just imagine how they will look with your awesome video editing skills!!
I received the first email from YY just 2 days ago... He said that he has "started to reflect that he should remove the files that I claim as mine". I checked his site, and it looks like he has removed a lot of the files. However, while I do appreciate this, this is WAAAAYYY too late. The deadline expired WEEKS ago. I may no longer feel as motivated to steal "his" stuff, but since virtually all of his content came from somewhere else, it would be hard to take something off his site that he could actually claim as his. But by removing part of the files, he has substantially reduced my desire to steal from him. But I don't think it's fair to forgive him now, after all the work I did and all the emails/posts I wrote, and all the hours I spent on this, only to have him "start thinking about it" weeks later... It is truly too late now.
He said he needs time to remove all the files (?).

Hey, I noticed that you added two fonts to your site. I do believe that credit needs to be given to the creator(s)? www.dafont.com/en > Fonts by theme > Famous + Video Games (Page 4 and 5) |

Oh my. Just...oh my.
I'm just going to be replying to the 22nd page (with default settings, as I would assume would be for guests) on.
First off, in reply to Yoshi~ and Joshi, the first two posts I see--it does appear to be extreme but as Yoshi Soul has said, he's given Yellow Yoshi MONTHS to comply with his requests. At any rate, I do have a question; Isn't "eye for an eye" mentality just a tad old? I mean, it's existed virtually since Hummarabi's Code--the first set of written laws! (and yes, I know that's misspelled; I don't find it particularly important to spell some ancient guy's name right--not worth my dwindling time)
Next, to Teo's response: How does that help? By attacking the forums, you're attacking ME, not Yellow Yoshi. About 95% of the forums (besides members' respective posts, obivously), is of my doing. What you'd do there is inflict MY anger and wrath.
Next; PinkFloydYoshi's reply; see my previous statement, it's related.
Next; BryUK's. That's a good idea. I always liked British sensibility. =)
I move on to Yoshi Soul's post; Yellow Yoshi just replied NOW to your e-mails? I haven't recieved any mail from him about this...so much for trying to keep me informed...
Final three posts; Teh Yoshi is right, though. Yellow Yoshi IS extremely stubborn. And this is coming from someone who's worked somewhat close to him for over a year.

This is similar to a mistake I made once.
Apparently, as long as you don't claim that you have created/uploaded the items yourself, using other material is fine.
The idea behind this (I think) is that one didn't necessarily get the material from the place you think it came from.
Seems to me that the more difficult/complex/rare the materials are, the less... forgiving the ripping/looting rights are?
(Goes like this: Recolour? No one cares: any idiot with MS paint can do that. .wavs, mp3's, and videos? you must ask permission.)
YY shamelessly ripped the rare and complex material while claiming that he had created it himself or had permission. That is the problem, and as you can see, he really made a mess...

If you downloaded the Yoshi's Story font and opened the zip you would see it contains the original readme file by the creator. The readme provides no disclaimer limiting where the font can be uploaded to. It provides and email address and a link to a site that no longer seems to exist.
DaFonts didn't create the files and neither do they have a copyright on them. They are merely hosted as a hub download site and will remove any files that authors ask to remove. (meaning they probably find the files, upload them and only remove them if asked to.)
Mario Bros.... there are a dozen different fonts available and its become very difficult to tell them apart.
As a side note, a google search for "Yoshi lore" will now find this thread/topic as the 3rd and 4th result.

He knows something MIGHT happen if he doesn't take them off. There's that might he's deppending on. But why is he doing this? He's in a position of getting sued, not Ys. |

If it was directed at Yellow Yoshi then please disregard my sarcastic comment... >_< Very sorry about that... Sorry, I thought he was saying I was stubborn... my mistake. (Sorry Teh Yoshi...) It is obvious to me that you didn't even bother downloading the fonts before you wrote this... If you double click on a .ttf file, you will see the original creator's name and/or contact email. Just please keep in mind that the whole "attack the YL forums" thing was not started by me (Yoshi Soul), nor is it something that I support. And I've been saying all along that they should NOT attack the YL forums. But some people keep insisting... which is not my fault. To all: Please take note that Yellow Yoshi said that he is starting to realize that what he did was wrong... I mean, even I see that as an improvement in the matter. It certainly won't be the same as if he had responded much earlier, but it still helps. |

TEXTTEXT I never knew that Yellow Yoshi took your stuff. I had already submitted some fanfiction on that site.... However, I wish to submit some to yours, if that's okay, but I don't want to get in the middle of this argument and suddenly start flaming the guy off  . I'm sorry for what he did to you, and by all means necessary, get justice! Like I said before, I'm still looking for another Yoshi site to post fanfiction on, and yours seems very interesting. Please don't think I'm taking his side; I'm completely neutral in all this . Whatever you do, good luck!! ;D

Grrr... I used to go to Yoshi Lore, but NO MORE! He just lost some hits! Because I'm not going there again!  I'm sorry I think I clicked on some of the stolen stuff I didn't realise it wasn't his I hope you'll forgive me.  I'm on your side YS! Hmm... I wonder, could you actually turn his threats against him and sue him for using your original material? Like maybe not the MP3s cause that could get nintendo involved and that doesn't really need to happen, but still. (Sorry if this was already suggested, I was just soo mad at Yellow Yoshi that i had to post saying that I was on your side Yoshi Soul. |

That's pretty much why I put a watermark throughout all the new hi-res SMW episodes that I've created.
BTW soul, looks like it'll be a random number of eps a week. The first two episodes on the weakend were repeats of the previous weeks last two episodes. And on the Sunday they did one SMW episode and one Captain N episode for some random reason. So I only have one new one, which is Cave Christmas. (winged Yoshi ep)
