The day you "noticed" the Yoshi community?

I'd love to know, when did each of you "join" the Yoshi fan online community? I mean, when did you first find out that there were plenty of sites and messageboards dedicated to Yoshi on the 'net?

This would be very interesting to know. Despite the loss of my hand-eye coordination, I'm still pretty talented at painting words onto grains of rice.

I noticed the Yoshi community in 1999. I didn't join any board until this year because I didn't have access to the internet at home. Now I pay for my access, February, I joined the Yoshi Forum Network. I've only just become a moderator on there...

Sometime in early June of last year. I needed help beating the Axem Rangers on SMRPG and through odd trial and error, ended up going through alot of Yoshi sites, stengthening my fanship even more! That's also about the time I met teh yoshi!! I believe we had been friends for about a month when he put up a fanfic I emailed him onto his site, which was on July 28th of 2003. And because of teh yoshi, I eventually found my way into joining!

When I found out about some sort of Yoshi community? Probably about late 2002? I don't know. When I joined, however? Most likely an attempt about a year later, around July or so 2003 at LunaYoshi's boards, but got banned because they thought I was somebody named Toshi who majorly spammed the boards for years earlier. That sent me into a downward spiral pretty much. I felt depressed and shaken.
But yeah, I started getting noticed at January 2003 when I pestered Yoshiru Ferrari a couple times via email to have him link to my site before he closes down. Also, around March, maybe a little later, Fifth saw my site, emailed me about it, and linked me .
But most importantly, I've joined this place at February 2004. Oy, how I'm very happy that I have, too ;D!! My very first close Yoshi community that I actually feel like I belong and is a part of. I wouldn't think a day at LunaYoshi's boards actually counted. I only made one post before getting booted.

I had needed help getting maxi melons in yoshi's story and I wandered the net looking for yoshi story hints when I got to gametalk, my first forum in oh, early 2002. Someone had posted tips on getting melons and it appeared in my google search. Then I started to think... There must be a TON more sites! And I looked, blueyoshi.tk was found, then yoshistation.homestead.com was a link and when I saw the stories, I wanted to write one. So I wrote and I think I sent it to Foshi thinking he was the webmaster. Then I saw it was Tek and he told me that there was a message board instead of just that chatroom.
There I heard a lot about yoshi's corner, also on blueyoshi.tk and I decided to visit.

Well, I saw the Cutest Yoshi Site on the Net (is that what it was called? You know, the Yoshi site will all the art that is now just...gone? ), and then I found Luna's site, and then the Yoshi Station, which I quickly joined. It all went uphill from there, I guess.

I believe I started to find out about all the webs with yoshi around the year 2000, or 2001ish. I think I was looking for yoshi sites simply because yoshi is my favorite nintendo character. As for yoshi/nintendo forums, this is my very first forum to be signed up at, and I'm very gald thats its here at yoshiart.

I think I began noticing during the year of 2001. Maybe a bit before Yoshi Soul and I became friends and he introduced me to F-15 Yoshi and Graedius. I got separated from F-15 Yoshi and Graedius for about a year and a half I think, then met up again on I think was about February-to March of 2004. I joined this messageboard a few days after it was born in January.

Even though I've been a Yoshi fan ever since SMW first came out in 1991, I've only started noticing the Yoshi community in early 2003. This is also the first Yoshi message board that I've ever joined... and I'm so glad that I did.

I thought that there wasn't a one until I was looking for pictures of yoshi and stumbled on the this site, so i had to join, cos i'm a HUGE fan, i love the artwork on it, this site caused me to be a Yoshi artist!

Now all i have to do is show you my work! Where is that scanner!!!!!

in the last days of november (I think) I meet one guy called "Pirate Yoshi", he help to create my website, I didn't mind that Yoshi is cool, but the time changes, when I finish my website (day 22, july at 5:01am) I noticed as cool Yoshi was, so I look for some local to express this new love, so I found this website, and now I'm here.
