The day you "noticed" the Yoshi community?

I can now talk about Yoshi, and no one can say that i need a life, or i'm sad!

The amount of times i've been worked because of my liking for Yoshi, its unbelievable!!!

oh yeah and ontopic i noticed the yoshi community maybe 1 year ago, the first site i ever saw was the purpleyoshi site and since then i knew there were more people who liked yoshi as much as i do ;D

Hmm... I remember finding a few Yoshi pages way back sometime... Cutest Yoshi page and Luna's site, I think. I didn't really get involved, 'cause it's not my nature to do so.

I came officially onto the Mario scene back in 2000, when I was looking for sounds and MIDIs for a Mario fangame. That led to my joining TMK's Fungi Forums. It's kind of a broader connection to the "Yoshi community," but I've been there since, so it's important to me.

Some while later, I came across Yoshiart.com (which was just closing at the time) and was inspired by the "True to Yoshi" style to try making a few pictures of my own. I eventually joined the Star World forums and started posting these pictures there. Eventually, I wanted to create my own site and started coming up with plans, but interest waned, and things fell stagnant.
I think it was seeing teh yoshi's site and reading and relating to some of the stuff he wrote about the Yoshi community that finally motivated me to finish my own site. I sort of wanted to try and keep alive some Yoshi fandom on the net.

So, after some time more, Yoshiart.com re-opened and, a little later still, these very boards were created. I joined as soon as I saw 'em... which was before they even had the first post (which was Yoshiken's.)

That's my experience. I'm not exactly sure if there's a definitive "noticed" anywhere in there.

met several years ago.. 2 or 3.. not sure.. mainly because i wanted to befriend graedius over at starworld probords, That and to talk to fellow yoshi fans. i think it was around 2001 near september or somthing.. as for first yoshi site i think it was luna's site, soon after yoshiart by clicking a link from luna's.

I just came up with calling myself Toshi! My brother first mentioned it, so i thought i'd use it!

He's my character's name in my work!

I don't remember when did I "notice" the community, but I remember how.

I was a great Yoshi fan, but I didn't believe that any other people like him too, untill that one day, when I was bored, and entered Google Image Search, typed Yoshi (I was bored), and I saw a pic I liked, and what was the source page, if not Yoshi Art's image gallery!? I saw lots of pictures there, and then went to the main page, and a great mesage flashed in my eyes: "Welcome Yoshi Fan!"
Downloads, animations, pictures, forum...
I said in my mind "Finally..." as a non-believer.

Ohh, what an exciting story... LOL!

This is the first Yoshi Fan site and the first Yoshi community forum I saw!
But days came, and I joined 2 more Yoshi forums (Yoshi Lore and Yoshi Forum Network)...
Right now, I'm registered to 6 forums!
