Argh edit: Okay, thanks a lot people. I commend the 6 people who have actually played their matches, and pity the ones who were sincere in trying to do theirs, only to be held up by nonsense. The tourney is sort of... not really gone, but sort of idle. So, if you have a match, and you finally don't have an excuse to not do it, please do it. I'd appreciate it. I'm really trying to not be angry at most people, but, yeah, it's not easy.
TOURNEY BRACKET! Read this whole thing, it's for your own good!
Important Reminder: There's no set date to do your matches. Feel free to arrange a date with your opponents that's good for both of you and then play it. Have fun! Now time for some copying and pasting action from the other topic.

Okay! This is the third Yoshi's Corner Tourney I've done so far, and this time, for a change, the game is NOT going to be played on an emulator.
Nope! We're moving on up to... THE NINTENDO DS!!! The name of the game is Mario Kart DS. The only things you need are...
- A DS.
- Mario Kart DS cartridge
- WiFi capabilities (you probably need either a router or a USB Adapter for the DS to do this.)
Alright, now this is the bracket topic.
There are some tourney rules that you shall abide by...
1. During the race, NO SNAKING. Snaking makes the game unfair and it's just really lame anyways. So don't do it, and if I find you do it, you will be kicked out of the tourney. Snaking is when you powerslide back and forth on the straight areas of the track, in case you're unaware.
2. Play nice. Don't get TOO mad if you lose.
3. If you're not going to play, don't sign up. I've had problems with this in the past and it irks me to no end. So don't make me mad if you know what's good for you.
Also, PinkFloydYoshi has kindly offered his Ventrilo server (voice chat) for people who are racing, so they can talk and race at the same time. I've asked him to post instructions here on how to get everything started since he knows more about it than I do. ^^;
If I think of anything else to put up here, then... I'll put it up here.

I HAVE GOTTEN CORAL YOSHI TO AGREE TO DRAW A PIC FOR THE WINNER. YAY. I love you, Coral. D:
Now for PFY's info on the Ventrilo server, which I have copied here also.

How do.
Ventrilo, if you've never heard of it, is a peice of software which allows you to join rooms, much like you join the Chat room, and literally talk to others in the room, using your microphone and speakers, or headset, if you're equipped and all.
Download from: ventrilo.com/download.php
Click the download button under "Client", next to "Windows i386".
Once installed, click the button next to "Server", and enter the details as they are entered in this screenshot:
Once done, you have to set a name for yourself. Click the button next to "User Name" and give yourself a name.
Once you're done click "Connect". You'll immediately be placed into a Silent lobby, and be shown an MOTD saying something along the lines of "Pink's Private vent server, sod off if you're not invited". Ignore this, because you are invited.
At this point, you need to set yourself up a binding key. A binding key is a button which allows you to talk to others when you press it, and lasts as long as you keep your button pressed. For example, I made my middle mouse button, it. Click "Setup", and a new window shall appear. Click inside the box next to "Hotkey", then press the button you wish to become your binding key. You can also set Vent up to have it auto-detect when to open your voice channel when you start speaking too.
When you've chosen your hotkey, click Ok, and test it. If the little speaker icon next to your name in the channel blinks green, your hotkey is working, and you can join channels. Double click the room named "YC MarioKart DS Tournament Room", and you're in. Thats it.
If no-one is in there, and you want to test your Vent setup, there's a chance you will catch me in the General Talk room, so just doubleclick that room, to see if I'm in there.
Enjoy.
By the way, if you have troubles getting your DS online, give us a shout in Vent and we can guide you through any troubles. Well, attempt to, at least.
By the way, if you need my attention, you'll have to call for me by shouting me, as I tend not to keep wearing the headset all the time. :S
Stranggestion - If you intend on talking and playing at the same time, try to set up your Ventrilo program so you don't need a hotkey to talk - just speak into the mic and it should go automatically. That way you won't have to try and hold down a key while you're playing!
---
I hope to see you all on the track! Make me proud out there, Yoshi's Corner karters. Kart for ever lasting peace.

EDIT: Oh yeah, it's just one match. A single 4-race set. And the Ventrilo thing is optional, you know, you don't actually have to use it.
