Why the crap is Strangie suddenly an admin?!

Sorry Timmy... he's right. Why in the name of the Lord would you call us babies for telling you the truth? If this place was so important to you, why would you gamble your position of authority on a silly game? I don't blame anything on Strangie. Enjoy your position, because it's nice that you have it =)

Yeah, I can understand that. I was once at a forum that had 7 administrators at one time. It seemed as if the root admin gave everyone a job as a staff members, because I can remember that there were 13 staff members on a board with 17 total members. And the forum was never really active anyway.

This is different than that forum was. This is a very active forum, and just handing out staff jobs to random people could be dangerous, especially if it was given to a malicious character. We are fortunate that Strangie is a good person, but if Tim assigns administration priviledges to the wrong person... I don't even want to think about that...

It's just like a cop I knew. Just because he has/had (don't know if he got fired or what but I haven't seen him for like, ever) "supreme authority" he sped, he broke quite a few laws and junk, and treated everyone else as somewhat..."inferior". And yeah...I'm seeing that here. I don't know what to say now except congratulations to strangie! TRIPLE BONUS MULTIPLIER ! ! But I guess what I'm trying to say here is that what comes with great power, comes great responsibility. Something on that level. I don't want this place deleted either. I'd go insane. I'm also irritated about the sissy/whining bit. (I never thought I would hear that again. It pains me extremely when people call me a sissy or a loser and whatnot.) It's not whining. I believe it's just that we are worried now and care too much for this forum. I do as I've stated many times. But meh, I think we might as well turn away from this conversation cause I think we might be cutting the self esteem of strangie. Honestly, I see this as a good thing.

Really. I mean, not to be too hard on Timmy, he is the creator afterall, but the fact of the matter is he is almost never around YC and the times he has been around in the past couple of months he's not exactly been setting a good example.
I mean, I've seen him do censor bypasses and flame baiting. And that just isn't very encouraging behavior from an admin. (THE admin of admins as it were)

I don't know Strangie personally, just tied with him in MKDS.
But I knew of him from Lemmy's Land ages before he, or I, ever joined YC so I know he is a decent guy.

A little crazy, but a good guy.

So in all honesty, I feel the boards are in better hands.

I don't know what to say though I gave a little earlier on the matter of dragging this out. What was done was odd in its own sense and an odd descison on the basis that it was a gamble over something like your own soul. You have to hold onto things you care about, not dish them out. I know that this board has gone through a lot of things, and this is just a difficult matter to take place after what you all have won for this place. Strangie is a great guy, I know that it feel into right hands. Yet even still, a board like this isn't something you play around with. It's like a Kingdom or a City because it's our home. Learning that our mayor just sold our city to some foreign nation would be quite the experince to undertake. To many this is an everyday stop, a place that we must come because its in our minds.

I know that we make choices daily, and that we only have a second to make them. At times we choose things we would rather not. We only have a split mind second to do these things, and you can't go back and redo them. You can learn that they were wrong when they go into play, but at the time you might take it into a game and enjoy it. No one ever really enjoys the final outcome of what they have planned. I agree that there should have been more thought put into the decison but running out and pointing in anger would not be the smartest thing to do. Every forum has its strange occurences, just because this is YC does not automatically make it heaven. We're all humans, we have emotions, and they get abused and in reality its just like every place else. In fact, there are thousands of reasons why it is not, and mistakes are going to be made as much at bad decisons.

Wow. I mean wow. This is quite inexpected. I'm not mad at anyone or taking sides about this. Everyone has their own opinion and this is mine. I can understand both sides about this. First of all, why would anyone gamble their admin spot? I would never gamble my spot on my forum. That is, unless like Tim (I think), I was very busy and never went on it. If I lost interest in my site, I would give it way. I would rather have a more responsible and trustworthy member to be admin if they would work on it lots. So I can't really takes sides. I am hoping this will not become a huge argument however. Well congrats Strangie on becoming new admin. I trust that you will do a great job! ;D

I totally agree with Tempest, by the way. And registering at Proboards.com doesn't require those skills why we have to appreciate the admin when he doesn't do anything at all. it just nedz n00bskliz, lololp.
