YC Gaming Tourney Sign Ups are OVER!!!

SIGN UPS ARE NOW OVER. And I still had only 14 people. Thanks for nothin', now I have to do a league, also known as round robin. ARGH.

You need a few things. The ROM of the game we are playing and the emulator for that game. I'll send you what's required to play if you need it, so contact me on AIM or whatever and go for it.

Game to be played: Tetris Attack
Emulator Used: ZSNES
(Good internet connection recommended)

To connect via ZSNES: You both need the same version and EXACT SAME ROM. File name and everything. Go to Netplay, Internet, and input the IP address if you're connecting to someone. Make sure you turn off UDP connections, put in a nickname, and don't touch the port number. Then click Connect/Start Server and play away. While the game is on, you can press T to talk.

First come first serve, so if you happen to sign up and you're the odd man out, you might not be allowed in, but I'll tell you what - if that happens, you'll get first dibs on the next tourney we have. Make sure you remind me of this if this occurs so I don't forget. LEVEL UP ! !

Anyways, rules.
- Set handicaps to 1, and set it so you have to win twice to win a match. The winner of the match moves on, the loser is ELIMINATEEEED!
- Play nice. That means no being a sore loser when you lose. If you whine and complain then you'll be blacklisted on the chat and disallowed from future tourneys, because if you're a whiner then we don't want you around anyway.
- No cheating. I don't think this is going to happen but if it does then you won't be allowed to play anymore.
- All tourney-goers should be in the chat at the time, since, afterall, we're going to do this on the weekend. And that way I can call the contenders.
- Sometimes, the game will glitch, and weird things will occur like one person will have their screen saying they won, while the other person's screen will say that THEY won, resulting in a contradictory outcome. In this case, just restart that match, and try to find a way to reduce lag so this doesn't occur.

If I can think of anything else I'll post it here, and don't be afraid to make suggestions. LEVEL UP ! !

The sign-ups shall close next Thursday at 11:00 PM, Eastern Standard Time (that's my time) so you have plenty of time to sign up. It'll also give me time to set up a tourney bracket (which shall be posted here). The tourney itself will take place along with the chat next weekend (March 17th).

Oh, and it seems there has been some confusion as to when the tourney itself is. I thought I had posted it here but I guess not. It's going to start on the next YC chat (Friday, March 17th), and sign ups close on the Thursday before, so I can get the brackets set up. It's all in the first post so please take a look at it. I guess I'm in. I may not be able to be in the chat though. If I have to be in the chat I guess I'm out then. Tetris attack is like my favorite game ever. (Besides Pokemon of COURSE =P) I just need the emulator and ROM.

In light of the fact that I couldn't get 2 more freakin' people, I'm thinking I'll make the tourney a league instead, a system where everyone plays each other once, and the person with the most wins at the end is the winner.
