Melee Kirby vs. Link Kirby

[Jelly Belly the Yoshi]

(This picture is at least a week old, but just upon returning, I've decided to post this up to give you a fresh taste of my updated artistic skills.. I am rather proud of the end results after all)

It's the clash of the puffy titans - Melee Kirby versus Link Kirby!



Took me awhile to do this. Emulating the same line and shading style seen in Paper Mario 2's game art, I have made this picture, featuring Melee Kirby and Link Kirby, both in fighting poses, ready to duke it out. For those who dont know, Melee Kirby is my other character alais, while Yoshi's Corner is more familiar with the more recent character of mines being Jelly Belly the Yoshi.

The whole picture was done in vectors with Flash MX, while the background was created in OpenCanvas 3.03. Enjoy!

The background is truly eye appealing and I do see a lot of improvement since your last pictures submitted here! Improvement is always appreciated! Keep going and you can be even better!

I'd be careful saying that if I were you since Jellybelly's other character is Melee Kirby.
Both will put up quite a fight though.

Hm.. The shading on Melee is kinda weird. Very sudden and it looks awkward. The background is catchy, but it doesnt seem in place. Are they floating in a spinning vortex? And if so, why does it look like Melee is standing on something? As for Link Kirby, is he holding the shield in front of his foot for reason? Looks strange to me. All in all, it's not a bad picture. But it's not that good either. However, I will admit that you have improved somewhat, which is long overdue btw.
