I used this tip for a month with my msn nickname
and people that have Messenger Plus! will see it

To make a bold text:
Type ·# at where you want to make the text bold
and use ·# to unbold the text.
Coloring Your Nickname:
Type ·$n where n is the color code
Color code table:
you can use html color code too by typing ·$#rrggbb
Example
(*) ·$1Itsa me! ·#·$3Visual Yoshi·#·$1 - Hello Everyone!!
You will get:
(*) Itsa me! Visual Yoshi - Hello Everyone!!
That is my MSN name.
