When I try to draw Yoshi, I usually make a "skeleton" of what it's gonna look like. I have a big circle to represent the nose(sometimes I draw a curvy line to represent the angle he's facing), a smaller one right next to it to represent the cheeks, then either make mabye a few circles to make the shape of a body or just draw a line. The arms would start with a circle(to represent the size) and then two straigth lines(one for the arm and forearm) and then a circle at the end(representing the hand). The feet and legs would be just circles. Then after the "skeleton", I'd then start adding details like the eyes, mouth, shoes, etc. It's kinda complicated at first(and it takes some time), but it usually gets the job done(even though I can draw Yoshi without the skeleton, it usually looks more accurate with the skeleton).

hehe got that....... you can start with any part once your good enough with the shape... and you can draw more than one if your good with proportions.... remember every on has their own style... like yoshiken's ^.~
