Conte's going to love it, haha.
I like the shading effects; the angle is awesome as well.
But because it's nighttime and the position of the moon, he would be really dark save for where the light would reflect off his scales. Just a pointer D=

Aw there Gem, you have no idea how much such means; but you need never complete such a task. One shall owe you for what you have done, and of the likes that have become of the sorts. Through this though, by the drawing that you have produced; you never fail in showing off your skills at every moment. Every little thing you bring forth has yourself in it, a piece of the attributes that you do hold. It's always hard to define the "essence" to anyones breed of art, but the way you raise these portraits is amazing. You might think that they seem simple to yourself, something you can do; but there is a lot more within that, especially how warm and playful you make them seem. Since you've started showing your diffrent pictures of art, you've expressed your expert percpetion into the field of emotion; you seem to have power over the strokes of your hands. Letting each and every line dig more into the moral of the scene, such as above; or with your "Playing in the Mud" idea. You were able to establish the mood, because you spent time with the area around. While you gave perfect anatomy and characterization, you did not forget the background and the effects to add upon it. From everything, be it a gesture of moonlight or a sprinkle of rain; you utilize what you know in order to give from your imagination. This gives you an aura of what an artist should be; you dig into your conscience and you think of things, be it from a show you've seen or an idea you've heard. You then take them and recreate them within your mind, giving a balance of yourself and creativity. Such is rare as the days pass by, but you make it a "stand-out" edition; showing just how true and blue you are to the title of an "Artist".
In your description, you mentioned an absence of armor; in truth, someone as yourself would never need to add that there. For just by leaving it as you saw it fit, you created something personal and of your scent. The body and the figure are perfectly aligned, each with the next portion; the way you have the back running down into the tail is something. You really have this mastery behind your "tails", especially since you give them this "moving" feel. As if you show them curved and bent, letting them look elastic in a sense. Such gives off a sense of realism in your art while adding a figment of adoration. For tails have always been something many see upon animals, pondering over their interactions and placement. Unlike many others, you really show the figure behind them, giving them life to the rest of your beings. The eye that you colored is definetly more than what utterly outstanding could say, for the colors seem to bounce back upon the moon. Those two bright orbs in the swirl of the red canopy; both shining with their might as they fight back. Now that, that is majestic there Gem, especially how it seems to gleam; keeping that "glass-like" effect about it. How you do it, may not never be known, but you've never failed in getting the eyes across. They always come out with this "glaze" and that pupiless expression; such would seem difficult, yet you conquer it everytime you produce something. They only seem amplified by the "fronds" that you gave life to in the back, that metallic phase you have on them really adds life. Something which is rare, but you managed to make it an addition of your own. The grasp effect upon the window-sill and the claws over the edge help give view into the thought of the creature; adding more to that warm-swelt attitude beneath.
Once again, when it comes to adding your backgrounds you have never tripped nor stumbled; especially in what you show when you get the chance. Unlike many others, you pay attention to small details that some may let pass by. Such as the pattern in the wallpaper above, many would leave that blank. Yet, you took more than time to give your own appeal to the colors. Giving it more than just a green paint, but also smoothing it daintly with a precious design. Such is given breathe by the moon that you drew. The outside view is definetly what a "Night Time" scene should look like. The moon seems to glow; pasting its rays downwards; right upon the face of the character. You really interacted the two shades together, giving yourself room to lighten where needed and darken as well. You gave that effect of "empty space" in the "Universal" outlook through the window. As if the creature is wondering over the such, thinking in the likes. Gem, none could outdo you when it comes to your warmth and creativity; such is what moves forward each time. Never give in, and never give up; continue drawing regardless of any troubles that may come. You have it in you, and you show it every single day.

Cool! I really like how the moon and the sky look through the window. I also like the eye, it's so shiny and it makes the pic cuter. Nice shading too. Awesome Job Gem!
