Well, this took quite a while between the time I started on it and finished it. If I had sketched it, scanned it, and then GIMPed it nonstop then I bet I'd take like only 8 hours to finish this. However though, I don't make drawings that quickly: in fact, not having the will to draw at times was a problem, and even when I did get up the will to draw, I eventually get caught up in something else that's unexpected and takes a while to get out of (like a chat, for example). But I did find time to finish it.
I've been getting into the anime Full Metal Alchemist lately, and I wanted to find something to draw from the series. I figured drawing Al in his armored glory would be a good idea to try to draw. So, I sketched, scanned, and colored away, and this is the result.
Hmm...if there are any gripes I have about the drawing, it's that I made the string thingy that's on his head look awkward and that little piece of metal below his "face" looks awkward as well. I did use refs though of course, but really, I'm kinda fine with how this turned out.
