Hey all! I was just at another forum, and saw a thread about the new nintendo system coming out. It said that the controllers might not have an A or B button! This is just a rumor for now, so don't think this is going to happen when it really may not. It leads me to these two questons though:
1) Do you really even care that the controller may not have the A and B buttons that we are so use to?
2) Do you think this is going to be true?
My answer is simple. I care only if the controller makes the game play worse somehow. For it being true, I'm not really sure. I do wonder what the new controller would look like though if they do make it without the buttons.....

no A and b buttons? I don't really care about that as long as they make something simalar. Like, if they make you have to move with L and R instead, that would be really annoying.

No A/B? I'll only believe that when they show me an official statement from Nintendo reading as such.
Notice the word "might." It's just speculation, and that can be done about any part of the system: It Might not have A/B. It might not have the crosspad. It might not have cords. It doesn't mean anything.
The buttons will be there, maybe they will not be named A/B. I don't see a reason for changing the name.

A new console. Nintendo will have to come up with something if they want to compete with the Playstation 3 and the Triple-X box.

Wow... I still haven't even gotten past the N64 XD. Somewhat touched the GameCube, raping people in some Mario Parties and a little bit of Power Tennis and Double Dash here and there (still very disappointed in those games, stupid gameplay. Nothing like the N64 versions, though. Pure gold).

In fact, I still play it up to this very day.

The only racing game I remember liking was Diddy Kong Racing, I don't ever remember playing Mario Kart, but I was always seeing adds for it (the N64 one). As for the topic, the names of buttons I couldn't care less about, as long as it doesn't hinder the gameplay. But who knows, it might not be true at all.

Everytime I go to my dad's house he forces me to play Mario Kart 64, and usually when he does he says "I'm gonna whoop you this time, boy!" Only problem with that is, he usually loses like 14-1. And it's been like this since the game came out in 1996.
So it's been, what, 9 years now of total domination on my part. Hoo yeah, baby XD

2) Do you think this is going to be true? no way! :Đ all of the nintendo consoles has got an "A", and a "B" button on it's "controller" thingy, so it is traditional... :] well, the great N will bring out the "Nintendo Revolution" (this is the work inprogress / project name of the new n system, um... ) for the E3 2005 (ergo in the end of May), so be patient... btw, look what i found: "Mario 128 erscheint für den Gamecube und nicht für Nintendo Revolution" (um... my english orthography horrible this time, i'm afraid - so forgive me for that... )

The Revolution was s'posed to be shaped like some pyramid, so im thinking holograms. No A/B might support that, but it's probly a rumor so.. LEVEL UP ! ! I dont really care unless there's proof.

Better multiplayer battlemode, though to be honest, MK64 single player was truley poor. Ofcourse, MK DD co-op even makes the MK64 multiplayer a bit lack-luster.
Block fort is still a classic though. Just there isn't much else.

Well, Nintendo said that their latest system was gonna revolutionize gaming as we see it.
...I hope that having a controler with different button names isn't their idea of being revolutionary >_>
I look forward to see what they have, though. I mean, only NINTENDO can state how revolutionary they're gonna be and actually DO IT. I shall be giddy with happiness once it becomes all uber compared to the systems of some of my Nintendo-dissing friends. Bleh them and their love for X-Box! I know Halo 2 is awesome, but that doesn't mean you can't even count all the awesome games on Game Cube like Double Dash, SSBM, and Metroid Prime! Your gaming ignorance and banwagon-jumping ways makes me cry! Cry, I say! *sniffles and runs out the nearest exit*

A new console that doesn't have A/B button? I've never heard about that, although I live in Japan...
