What is your favorite Video Game music? I must say that I like the theme for Bob-Omb Battlefield from Super Mario 64 as one of my faves. I do NOT like the music on Yoshi games. It's SO annoying!

That seriously depends for me. I'm a fan of halo music, but I am a bigger fan of the Half Life music. As long as its up beat and theres some type of guitar I am happy. Any video game music will do, as long as it fits the mood. If it breaks the silence or is to loud and annoying in a quiet part then i dont like it.

huh, my favorite [btw, it's changes every day :] is the ending/staff roll bgm of metroid prime... that's sounds so mysteriously... full sci-fi feeling, superb www.tar.hu/norby-sonic/vgm/Metroid_Prime_-_Staff.mp3also like: all tracks of super smash bros. melee (especially the bgm of the "big blue", and of the "fountain of dreams"). the soundtracks of f-zero games also rocks... so there are a lot of favorites, but i don't want to create a list of them :Đ [it will be too long, i'm afraid ;]

The Terran's music from StarCraft (without the extra track in the Brood War addon). Hands down.
Then probably a couple of tracks from the Megaman Battle Network games... some of those are pretty good.
The C&C music from Red Alert 1&2 is indeed fairly funky. I've got all the tracks saved on my computer as .swf files.
After that, it's just... stuff. Yeah. Random stuff.

I love a lot of cutesy video game music stuff that I probably should be ashamed of telling you guys, such as Banjo-Kazooie, Diddy Kong Racing, and Donkey Kong Country. Dagnabbit, music producers from Rare are such geniuses!
Oh, I also like Dire, Dire Docks. Hahah. Can't play that enough of the piano. I also love a couple songs from Mario RPG, because they're fun to play as well ;D, like the Smithy's Town or that one forest level, hehe.

I've got two that pops out in mind right away.
1) 'Simple and Clean' from Kingdom Hearst, and 2) 'Super Mario Bros. Theme (Orcistrated)' from SMB. But with 'orcistrated' spelled the right way...
Who's with me here? =D

Would "Hearst" be spelled the right way, too?
Heh... I can remember all of 1 song from Kingdom Hearts (I didn't play very much of it), but the music was done by Yoko Shimomura, one of my favorite game composers...
Anyway, my list includes the music from Legend of Mana (Yoko Shimomura), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Castlevania often has great music), and Dynamite Headdy (which I'm playing right now for exactly that reason).
There's a bunch of other stuff, too... Mario games, and the like... Basically, if I start whistling along, it qualifies as good music.
Oh! Can't forget Katamari Damacy. Man...

That's "orchestrated", Tek...
Meh, I just like the more upbeat tunes with guitars and rapid paces and stuff, which explains the music I mentioned before. The slower, sadder music I like for a little bit, but not as much as the other stuff.

Oh yes I forgot to mention, I to like Castlevania music. Most of those games do, like someone said earlier. Can't go wrong with their music. Oh yeah and American Mcgees Alice music, that stuff is as creepy as ever. Played that game at my friends, made me shiver.

I love tons of Video Game music, from NES to SNES to 64 to GameCube to even the PlayStation, of course the NES and SNES's music is closest to me... I'll list my top three, in order of importance. 1) This obscure song from Kirby's Adventure: i.1asphost.com/Graedius/Kirby.wav
This is a song that would play on some of the later levels, darker, nighttime and usually cold wintry levels. I don't know why. I just have a strong emotional tie to that song... reminds me of my childhood... my old house.. my old life... wintertime. 2) The Stickerbrush Symphony: i.1asphost.com/Graedius/Brambles.wav
A song used in Donkey Kong Country 2, in the levels that had spikey (but great-looking) Brambley-vines all over the place. The music realy suited the atmosphere of the level. I don't know... I just like it. A lot. 3) The Final Fantasy Fanfare: i.1asphost.com/Graedius/FF%20Fanfares.wav
Just the Fanfare from the Final Fantasy series in general... I lurve it. Except in 7 and 8... it sounds... I don't know... different. Not the same as in the others. I hope you realize the great difficulty it tookto do this. I love a hundred trillion billion game songs, and to type them all out here, let alone hotlinking, would take hours upon hours, heh.
