Yeah...uh...I got some artwork and...yeah. Anyway, it has been months since I came back, so I'm not sure if I posted it already or not, but we'll see what I got...

Something New...

Yeah, a while ago...like...last month I think? Anyway, I got a pair of glasses to help my vision, but I hardly wear them...I drew them on Jay to see what happens, and by the looks of it, he's not too happy with the whole glasses thing. No offense to anyone, but he thinks Dragons with glasses are a bit odd...sometimes.

This is what I get for looking at a picture of a red and black dragoness slitting a wolves' throat with a chain scythe...>.>

Avalanche the Dragon

I wanted to create a Sonic related character again, because well....Hedgehogs are beginning to become overrated, and...well...seeing as SEGA hardly does any Mythical characters (Except Tails who is a Kitsune), a Dragon would suffice. Took me 7 sketches to get this right. Also, to let anyone know...he's slower than Sonic and Shadow...he can't fly, use Chaos Control, and he's weaker than Knuckles, okay? I know some fans have a habit of making their character over-powered. I haven't chose colors yet except for a Light Blue/White look so far...any suggestions would be nice.

Tried to get detailed with Drago's look. I...don't really like it.

Jay as a Human (Well, actually he's a half Dragon. You can't see it...XD)

Well, it has been 2 years, so I decided to draw him again. Came out okay, though I changed his hairstyle...well...just for this picture. His hairstyle is supposed to resemble Sonic the Hedgehog's quills with a few bangs here and there...but yeah.

Jay Detail Practice

This is the picture I practiced some detail on before working on Garral's picture (Okay, why in Bahamut's name do I keep calling him Garral and not Gar?! O.o)

My reaction after seeing...uh, I'm not saying...but it's gross. To let you know, I said those words (not the letters, what the letters meant) out loud. I'm thankful no one heard me...

Uh, yeah. To explain...

I have a bad habit of getting jealous at people who receive a lot of request artwork and/or Gift artwork. Now, people who are artists that receive artwork I can understand, it's just some of the guys that does little to none and somehow end up with a crap load of artwork from others in a short period of time(or just a crap load). It actually depends on whose getting it and what artist though, truth be told...but...yeah.

I think mainly because whenever I try to get Requests, I usually find myself getting rejected while someone else just somehow finds a artist who is free and well...y'know what happens next. I'm not trying to be a "Art sleeper" or anything, but finding people you know that can get their hands on some cool pictures from a request or just a plain gift, sometimes make ya feel disappointed...so yeah. Right now I'm even in jealously mode. If anyone knows who I'm jealous at, gets a cookie. Wait...no...I don't want to start anything. XD

I guess another reason, I guess I'm too afraid to even ask at times cause I'm afraid of getting blown away. >>

Your more detailed pictures are always amazing, Jay. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise, haha.
But... Jay, they're all at the same angle, with their hands at their sides. Draw one of your characters completely to the front or side, waving his arms around sometime. Have them holding something and looking at it rather than just looking off to the side or something. Have them interacting with another person, or maybe even using those wings!
...That's why I liked the Frank one so much. He's not just facing to the side. He looks like he's about to run off the picture.

I would, but I'm having both perspective and posing problems still. I'm not up to level yet. Also my art is somewhat suffering due to the fact that I can't seem to do any full body pictures anymore. I'm trying, but no luck (also I got no inspiration what so ever). I'll begin posing and stuff as soon as I can get that out of the way.The Sonic pictures was since I was being too lazy. Also, drawing Dragons in the front view is a pain in the tail, since the face is so difficult in my opinion. I'll see what happens.

Also...how long are you going to call Avalanche "Frank?" Seriously... Avalanche sounds WAY better in my opinion. >.>

I think you're quite past that "level", really. Try it. I dare you.
And things that are a pain to draw get easier as you go along. I don't care if you mess up. I mess up all the time.

I'm going to call him Frank forever. Unless you prefer Percy.

Very very nice Jay! I really like the ones with they eyes and the accessories, but thats just me. I see what you've been up to while not at Yoshi's Corner!
