This is Kiba's main squeeze. I loved how her name worked out when I created it. The story behind her name: She's one of the few humans from Earth in the story, and she was either going to be adopted into a Japanese, or Chinese family. When I first drew her with Kiba, she was protecting him from the rain, letting herself get wet and cold instead. So I looked up the japanese name for shelter, and it just so happened to have "Shelter from rain" which was Amayoke. But, after deciding to have her adopted into a Chinese family, I had to look up the meanings for them seperately. I typed in Rain and it came up Yu. I typed in shelter and it came up with several, but the one I liked was Hu, "put under one's protection." When I pronounced her name, "Yu Hu," I immediatly giggled. Yes, giggled. Anyway, I thought that was cool how it worked out. And this one speaks for itself. Happy Christmas, Yoshi's Corner.
